  1. Congrats! I think you are doing fabulous! Thanks for the inspiring story and for examples of what you eat. Always helpful to hear from those who are successful!
  2. Congrats on your success! You're doing great! I also don't think it matters how fast the weight comes off but that you ARE losing pounds and that you are getting healthier each day! I seem to lose slower too- and have to keep telling myself the same thing!
  3. I was right there with you! I loved food (too much obviously!) and once I had surgery I was like "what the h$@l did I do to myself"? At first you are very limited to what you can eat- that was the hardest for me. But everyday gets better and better. Now at alomost 3 months out I can eat pretty much anything- just in small amounts of course. Sometimes my demented mind wishes I could have more of what I'm eating but thank goodness can't! Seeing and feeling the pounds melt away is definitely worth it!
  4. Wow girl- those are amazing pics!! Your posts are always so real and inspiring. I think I'm going to pull out a piar of old jeans from the Goodwill pile and save them for a "down in the dumps day"- what a fabulous idea! As much as it feels good to get rid of those clothes- it probably will feel even better to do what you did! Thanks for always posting such great stories, advice, and ideas! You are AMAZING!! Hope you are feeling better now!
  5. Isn't this site wonderful? I was a lot like you about staying quiet about my weight and keeping my thoughts/feelings all inside. This is a great outlet for our emotions and a great way to get advice by so many who've "been there" as well. Good luck to you on your surgery! June 9th will be here before you know it!
  6. YAY you!!! I bet you are under 200 by wedding day! Good luck!
  7. Congrats on your success! It is so hard to lose your father. But you need to focus also on yourself and making your life better and longer. Easier said than done I know. I made the wrong choices when coping with my father's death and am now trying to lose the pounds I gained during that time. aauuggh! So stay strong and work on making healthy choices. I'm sure your father would want that for you!
  8. Congrats- you are doing WONDERFUL! You will be at goal before you know it!

  13. I just bought a watch for losing 100lbs. It will always fit! I think a spa day will be my next reward for losing more pounds- massage and facial sound lovely. I absolutely love the idea of gift cards to clothing stores now to use once at goal. I'm going to start using that idea when people ask what to get me for b-day, x-mas, etc. Love it!
