  1. and can anyone tell me how to update my ticker??
  2. Thanks guys, I'm on a high now, can't sleep, I might go and tidy up my messy house!!
  3. Don't worry I didn't lose anything weeks 3 and 4, it'll come off eventually, you'll see
  4. Thanks coops, i just reread my post, what the surgeon said is that I have the most beautiful LIVER he's ever seen! Today I went a bit above my calorie intake though 1000 and a bit and I didn't go to the gym Tommorrow back to sweat a bit!
  5. Oh, i was thinking I might try it, they do lessons at my local gym, do you think???
  6. I don't know how to update my ticker though :confused1:
  7. I find it easier to eat around 6 times a day, even though I've been told not to snack. I have breakfast, coffee and cheese , or an egg or ham, then at around 10 a smootie or protein shake, then lunch, beans and cheese or half an omelette, something early afternoon with a coffee or tea, then dinner and later on a small again. I eat around 900 cal a day, exercise 4 times a week, and have lost about 27 pounds in 7 weeks plus the preop another 10 pounds, I know I'm losing a bit slow but I'm happy with my loss so far and today my surgeon said I'm doing really well, nearly half way to goal, lost 38 pounds in total and another 40 to go!
  8. one piece of advice, don't weigh yourself everyday!
  9. I am elated! Just been to see my surgeon.I have lost 28 pounds in 7 weeks and 37 pounds since my preop so that makes a total of 37 pounds in 3 months!!! I couldn't be happier! He said he was very happy with my weight loss, which compared to many is a bit slow, but I'm nearly halfway to goal in a bit more than 2 months! He also said I had the most beautiful lives he's ever seen, which was quite a compliment coming from a surgeon! Anyway i have another 40 pounds to lose so I better get working this sleeve to the max!! Thanks to all you guys for your support and posts, it's what keeps me going:001_wub: Good luck to you all, and honestly, if I can do it so can you!!
  10. I lost 28 pounds in 7 weeks and am over the moon about it!! A total since preop diet of 37 pounds, nearly halfway there! So I thinks thats good!
  11. I too had/have big issues in controling my eatiing when i'm stressed, upset. The good thing with the band (i'm only 7 weeks out) is that you can't do it! I will feel like eating still in these situations but it's getting better, cause i know that after putting 1 piece of cheese in my mouth I'm stuffed! Gonna have to find something else for these situations!
  12. Congratulations, look after yourself, you'll do great!
  13. Tiffy, an honest question, not to offend you, don't know if it was raised before but, why do you smoke?? You just seem so health aware that you don't seem like the smoking type. Maybe you had to turn to something that wasn't food or did you smoke before weightloss? Just asking cause I know I have an addictive personality, and I'm not too sure yet what it's gonna be like out in the "real" world, as I'm only 7 weeks out, when I start socializing again. Am I gonna drink loads maybe? I hope not, because among other things drinking helped pile on the weight in the last 10 years. In a way I "know" I'm going to have to turn to something, I'm trying to make it exercise, let's hope, I know it won't be smoking though cause I tried to smoke so many times thinking it might make me lose weight but just makes me nauseous.
  14. I feel great even though I am eating too many carbs, I'm losing very slowly though, I'm dreading my weigh in today. I might give Atkins a try, a change is always good, a shock to the system and more weight loss apparently!
  15. I started taking my sertraline again as soon as I could sip some water, no probs whatsoever!
  16. oats if you're allowed, or some high fibre cereal like weetabix w milk
  17. I eat around 900 cal a day, but I'm on the go all day long with 3 children (a 10 month baby included) and I work out 3-4 times a week, I feel quite comfortable with this amount of calories, the days that I eat less I feel like I'm gonna faint any minute, I'm 7 weeks out losing slowly but happy with my loss!
  18. I had a BMI of 36.1 and had a really speedy recovery. I don't work but I have 3 children (including 10 month old baby) and after a week I was feeling really well, out and about. I would take it easy though, for about 2 weeks, depending on what type of job you have.
  19. My mouth is watering as I read, I'm gonna have to look for those!
  20. I'm sure evrything will be fine, good luck to you, next post you'll be sleeved, yeay!!!!!
  21. Same here, sweet things taste "wrong" too sweet, not very nice, hubby can't believe it! And the strangest thing is that I don't even care!
  22. Some people can get sore throats for a few days after surgery because of the tube that they put down the throat, I had no issues, not that I sing but i do talk a lot! Good luck!
  23. All Tiffy said plus: loose, comfy underwear, make up (tinted moisturizer and lipbalm/gloss)and toiletries, a nice refreshing perfume or cologne, make up wipes to refresh your face the first couple of hours. Good luck!
  24. Cristabel, I can completely relate to that behaviour and those feelings. I did seek professional help years before surgery, which helped a lot, but didn't stop me from stuffing my face when I was really anxious/upset ! This morning I was REALLY angry, an issue with my daughter who is only 12 and going through hormonal stuff anyway, in the past, I would have gone for a coffee and fatening junk w my friend, instead I went to the gym had half a bowl of porridge and then went for a 60 min work out, i couldn't believe it and felt good after! If you have the time try exercising!
