    It's Like Running In Sand

that is sooo ridiculous. i would look into that and then make sure before you begin the second time around that there is nothing else they can trip you up on...sounds like they are tryn not to pay for your surgery. ugh! best wishes

    Is Vomiting Dangerous

after a vomiting episode i recommend going on liquids cuz your band is irritated. repeated vomiting can cause band slippage, but i'm not sure how much you would have to to cause that to happen. i have been banded almost a year and i have thrown up many times(i'm not advocating that by any means) but my band is fine. but i would definelty do liquids and then ease back into soft and then regular foods. just my 2 cents jennifer

    Question - Body Image

this is the mental part of weight loss that i wasnt prepared to deal with...or really even thought about. i still almost have a panic attack when i go clothes shopping and dont have to go to the plus sized section. i'm so focused on thinking that people are looking at me like why are you in that section knowing you cant fit anything there. i'm just a little away from my goal, but now that i see i still look like a big girl to me i may be changing my goal from a 12 to an 8..ugh...will i ever be satisfied and not look at myself as the fat girl! ugh!
  11. taxes finally done..why do i always have to pay the state of illinois! ugh!

    First Fill And No Restriction

i also wanted to tell the newbies...please dont get caught up in the whole "how much is in your band thing" it's only relevant to you and your band. it can never compare to anyone elses, i prefer not to even discuss how much i have cuz it only matters when i see my doc. as you can see from this thread alone some people need very little to have good restriction and some dont. hey as long as we get the end result of good healthy weight loss. who cares if you have 1cc or 10, right! ijs! happy losing everyone. jennifer (stepping down of my soap box. lol)

    Bathroom Time!

i would get a stool softner like ducolax or if your body is sensitive try prune juice. if you had a pre op liquid diet and are taking pain meds that explains the lack of "going". hope this helps

    Second Thoughts

i think we all go thru that at one point. my "what the hell did i do" moment hit the second i woke up from surgery. but i can tell you this is not an easy road, but soooo worth it. this time last year i was in 18/20's and today i shopped on the "regular" side of the store and have be barred from Lane Bryant cuz their clothes are too big for me! it is worth it!!!! feel free to PM me anytime jennifer

    What Does A Fill Cost?

there was a thread just a while ago about this the prices ranged from $100 to $1,000....i still dont get how the price can be soooo different. mine will be $250
  16. still tryn to get used to shopping on the "normal sized" part of the clothing store!

    Getting A Little Scared Now

if you werent scared i would be concerned. your gonna have surgery so what you're feeling is perfectly natural. these boards were a great source of support for me. just know that you will hear/read negative and positive. feel free to PM me with any questions.

    First Fill And No Restriction

it might take you several fills to get restriction and also sometimes there is a delay about a week or so before you can tell you even had a fill.

    Feeling Good

you have such a gorgeous smile! you go girl!
  22. 199!!!!oh onderland how i've longed to meet you! i

  23. the first 6 weeks is about healing...so until you start getting fills you probably wont feel like you have the band, eventually everyone "tests" their band, but i would be very careful about eating regular foods so soon. dont want to do any damage. and you want your band to settle in so scar tissue can form and it can be secure. jennifer
