    Shoulder Pain!!!!

Yeah I bought the whole gas trapped for a minute but 11 months out you can't tell me it's still in there! I'm thinking some nerve is being pinched that refers pain to the left shoulder...I guess it's a small price to pay for taking control of my health.
  2. i was self pay so i didnt have to deal with all that crap...but i would stay on them and get on their nerves so they have no choice but to submit your paper work. hope it gets done soon..ugh!!!

Band Is Too Tight With No Fill......help!

i dont have lupus so i can not really speak to how it effects the band, but i am very concerned about dropping 29 pounds in one week. my band was too tight for 2 weeks and i dropped 9 pounds, but gained it back once my band was loosen. like a previous poster said you may need you band out if you have that much tightness and no fluid in it. i dont think the "regular tricks" of looseing may work for you. your doc isnt concerned with your current situation. i would be afraid of becoming dehydrated. i mean in the beginning we live on liquids to let our band heal, but we arent supposed to live like that. i pray that you have gone back to your doc, cuz this just sounds really bad. best wishes and please keep us posted.

When Did You Start To Feel Restriction?

i had to bee between 7.5 cc's and 8 for good restriction..that took about 9 months 5 fills and 3 unfils..not in that order lol
  9. i just looked it up....and found many centers near me that do it. sounds like it's just approved for the stomach at this time. something definelty worth considering as i do not want any more surgery..thanks for the post had never heard of this.

    Band Overfill?

You may be someone who needs very little in your band...unfortunatley I'm not...lol..I do know the closer you are to the green zone even the tinyest adjustment can make a huge difference.
  12. Hi..I got my fourth fill on Monday and now its Friday and I can still only really get down liquids and pudding. I paged Dr. Elli to see if I could get an emergency unfill..but he has not called me back...has anyone ever paged him?
  13. i finally got in for 2 emergency unfills..one at UIC with a doc Dr. elli called and told to see me..(on a tues) had to go in that friday for another unfill with Dr. e. oh i gave him a piece of my mind about how i was given the run around and how i felt since i was self pay that they didnt care. i have been in for 2 other adjustments since then with no problems. i'm so sorry you are dealing with that...i dont understand what's going on with your band and why you cant get adjustments. i too will be self pay for my next adjustment as my first year was paid but come may 20th it will be a year and i'm sure i dont need to see him before then. i am grateful that i met my goal in the first year, but of course now i want to loose another size and i'm praying i can do it with my current level of restriction, cuz i think $250 a pop is ridiculous!@

    Band Overfill?

yes...it sounds like you are..please call your doctor's office. you dont want to become dehydrated. it's normal to be tight after a fill, but you should be able to get liquids down no matter what. please keep us posted.

    4 New Bandsters...

thanks for posting this..wish i knew this when i went through that. i also wanna tell new bandsters dont compare your weight loss or how much is in your band with others. this is an individual journey as well as one we travel together. (if that makes sense). everyone "cheats" at some point..dont beat yourself up! ok that is all...now back to our regularly scheduled program..lol

    Discouraged

dont be discouraged. this is a slow proceess. i know you want it to happen like right now..(and trust me we all do), but it's gonna take some time before you get to good restriction and for your body to adjust. i am a slow loser, but be patient and faithful to your journey...make sure you're working out and doing your part and it will happen. you can do this..we are right here with you
