lissi got a reaction from Dooter in Calling All Long Term Sleevers: How Much Food Does Your Stomach Hold Now?
Hmmmm.. I am 22 months post op and for me it varies on what I've eaten for the previous meal or snack. Does that make sense? If I ate something light then I"ll be able to eat a bit more. If i eat Subway (which I do often), I can only eat a 6in (chicken breast on wheat and veggies), and I'm done. Prior to surgery I could go to a restaurant and order an appetizer, main course, and dessert, and eat an hr later. If I go to a restaurant now, I can only eat 1/2 of what's on my plate ( no room for anything else) I would say about 3-4 oz

I'm almost 2yrs post op... Prior to surgery I hated exercise, especially running. I incorporated walking and running into my exercise routine as soon as I could. I have to say that running is now my first choice for exercise. I love it. Last month I participated in my first 5k in Puerto Rico called RUN LIKE A DIVA... it was awesome and the feeling was undescribable. I finished it in 34 minutes and came in #19 from 72 women in my age category... I would of never thought in a million years that I would love it as much as I do

I jut started briskly walking in hopes of running as soon as my legs can carry my fat butt lol, I am only 3-4 weeks post-op. BUT I have seen a ton of posts, tickers, and etc about people who are running marathons and whatnot. Congrats on your Diva run, it sounds amazing. I can't wait to have that type of feeling from RUNNING! I mean seriously I am 26 and when I was in high school I couldn't even walk the mile in 30 minutes! To see myself as a runner doesn't even seem possible.

lissi got a reaction from LilMissDiva Irene in 8 months out and gaining
    Hello,
I was sleeved April 8 and lost the 65lbs I needed to in approximately 3 months. My goal weight was 130 lbs...at the present I weigh 125. I do fluctuate within a 5lb range. At first I lost sleep over this 5lb fluctuation, I was terrified. Mentally I got back on track and when I worked out, I'd work an extra 15-20 mins..I think about that 5lb fluctuation when I'm tempted to eat what I'm not supposed to, and I think that it helps me to make better choices. Don't be discouraged! I think that our fears of stretching our pouch and gaining weight is normal...As long as we acknowledge what needs to be acknowledged and make the necessary changes, we will be o.k...
