Does anyone here use CalorieCount.About.com?
I'm using fatsecret.com. Hate the name, but it was the only one that I could find which would show fiber and I felt that was important to track. Also tracks calories, carbs & fat. I had been using myfitnesspal.com and really liked it, but wanted to be able to see the fiber.

Add to chicken broth to make it not-so-nasty?
I found that chicken stock tasted much better. Kitchen basics makes a good one. I also added a bunch of spices to the stock and heated it up for a few minutes, then strained them out.

Crunchy foods
Haven't tried those yet. Will have to look into them.

hic-ups?
I hiccup, too. Usually just one or two, but I know I'm done as soon as it happens. I'm just glad the stomach noises have mostly stopped. When I was two weeks out and eating mostly soup, my stomach made these crazy noisy sounds and it would go on f-o-r-e-v-e-r.

Is a weight gain normal?
I lost 12 pounds my first week and for the next 2.5 weeks lost 3 pounds, gained 4, lost 1 pound, gained 2, etc. Then right before my 1 month check, I lost 10 pounds practically overnight. That was on Tuesday. No idea why it's coming off like that for me, but I guess that as long as it keeps coming off, I'm ok with it.

Crunchy foods
I've been dying for something that crunches. I've found some crackers which have some protein, but they also have 22 grams of carbs! Anyone have any suggestions for low carb food with crunch?

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I Love You, Tomorrow!
Thanks so much, everyone!!!! I had a lot of pain in my shoulder from the gas on Monday and Tuesday, so the doctor kept me another night. Was definitely ready to be sprung by the time I left on Wednesday! Still had a lot of pain until yesterday, but some retail therapy (and walking) and getting cozy with my heating pad really helped. Also had some tummy issues, but I'm pretty sure it was the sucralose in the Water ice, I picked up because it stopped when I stopped having them. Not hungry at all, but am anxious to move on from Jello, broth, Water Ice, and Isopuke. Broth mostly tasted like dishwater until I figured out that I should use stock instead and add some spices which I strain out after heating. Still working on getting the spices quite right.

Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I Love You, Tomorrow!
Surgery in just over 8 hours. Have to be at the hospital in 6. Can't wait!!!!!

What are my chances???
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. I briefly considered the DS, but my surgeon doesn't do it and I've seen some people say that they've lost too much weight. It's great that we have so many options and everyone can pick the surgery they think is right for them.

A very interesting evening for me...
So glad you're feeling better, Diva! I thought dumping wasn't supposed to happen with the sleeve, but it sounds like several people have experienced it. Thanks for the heads-up.

What are my chances???
You do know that the DS is basically the VSG + RNY? I'm just asking because you wrote that RNY is out of the question.

Pre-op diet loss...
Wow! That's amazing. I'm starting liquids this week and I'm a little nervous about how I'm going to handle it.

On the other side

Best Sports Bras
Any suggestions for really large cup sizes? I'm currently wearing and I/J cup. I was getting Glamorise Magic Lift Plus Active Support Bras, but it doesn't take very long before they stretch out.

O MY GOPSH!!! EKG PROBLEMS!!! PLEASE HELP!!
Any updates on this, Lisa? I just saw your post. I have an irregular EKG, but they knew that from some minor surgery I had last year. They sent me for an ultrasound and then just to be careful for a nuclear stress test. The stress test was inconclusive, so they made me go for an angiogram. The angiogram wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be, though I still wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a free afternoon to kill. LOL. If I had had any blockages, they would have done an angioplasty, but I didn't. It wasn't much fun and I spent way more time with the cardiologist than I was expecting to, but I'm glad they did everything and have cleared me for surgery. If you want any more info about anything, feel free to pm me.

WLS cookbooks?
Nothing specific to sleevers and most of the general weight loss surgery cookbooks seem to have a lot of fat and/or calories. I've picked up a couple of low carb cookbooks, but can't recommend any yet. Good luck finding someone and let us all know if you find a good one!

"Last Supper"
What type of injection do you have to give yourself? That would scare me, too!
