OMG i am right there with you kelly74 you described what iam going through exactly to the T, my stomach growls all day and it is def. not heartburn its coming from deep in my stomach and although, thankfully when i eat very little fills me up i feel physically like iam starving all day! thought my surgeon removed the hormone causing this it has been 3 weeks since surgery and i would love some advice on this!!!!! also my doctor gave me prilosec to take at night to protect my stomach two at night can i take 2 during the day as well??????? Thx for your help eveyone!

Thanks Heather, I sure hope so. I just feel satisfied when I eat, but shortly after, I am hungry again. It is not head hunger, my stomach GROWLS all the friggen time. I feel as if I have not eaten for days. I take Nexium daily and right now, twice a day. It is definatly not acid.

I am so scared that I am going to go thru this and I am still going to be starving all of the time!!! My dr. says NO WAY!, but I just can not make the dobut leave me at this time.

I guess, I just am so use to failure that I am afraid of failing again!

What's wrong with me i had my surgery on the 14th and although i have not eaten much, Protein shakes , broth and liqueds i have made a couple mistakes with Peanut Butter and half a cookie but iam back on track but what worried me is sorry for TMI but i have not pooped since the day before my surgery!!!!!!! it has been 9 days my doctors said it is normal but that was the after-care doctor waiting to speak to my surgeon! IS THIS NORMAL SHOULD I BE WORRIED? i have taken a laxative and need to buy a stool softne anyone can comment on this, would be greatly appreciated!

Hi. I was sleeved on 4/14 so I am just over a week out. I had my one week appointment yesterday and every thing was fine. I feel fine, no pain, no problems. I get my fluids down and my Protein in. Sorry if this is TMI, but I just went to the bathroom. I had diarrhea. It was dark pink/red and turneed the toilet Water pink. If it happens again, I will definitely call the surgeon. My question is, I just had Torani sugar free Rasberry Syrup for the first time today mixed in some runny cream of rice. I have never had it before. Could that be the source of the color? Just wanted to ask and see if anyone else uses Torani and has had this happen to them. Thanks!

Frustrated and Blue as well! I was sleeved on the 14th and i too have lost only 10lbs the scale stays at the same mark when i get on it, and worst of all i kinda of feel hungry all the time like really hungry not head hungry, whats going on i thought they removed the hormone? so hoping all this will change so i dont feel the same way you do!

I'm only a week and a half out from surgery and I've already decided to get rid of the scale! I have lost 10 pounds and I just don't feel like I'm losing anymore!! I got excited a few days ago cuz I though I lost 14pounds, but no, it was a fluke with my scale I eat a fourth of a cup of pureed Soup or Beans or cottage chees for meals and sip Water all day, and I feel like it's for nothing! Isn't the weight suppose to just fall off right now?? I feel like I wasted my money on this surgery!

hey iam right there with you i can not determine the difference between what could be stomach acid grumbling or wether it is actually my hunger pains i dont feel hungry all day but man is there times when i really, really feel hungry! Iam only like 8 days out from surgery and feeling confused that my grenlin is not gone, when will it subside?????? iam feeling like a failure already!

It took me 3 1/2 months to lose my hunger. And breaking bad habits I'm still working on. I have to remind myself just because its 1:00 doesn't always mean I have to eat.

Hello my name is Michelle and Yes I am very impressed with Dr. Kelly myself i am scheduled for surgery on the 14th down in T.J i will have a short flight since i will be coming from Sacramento, are you scheduled for surgery with him or still deciding if i can be of any assistance this is a great place for me to do it!

Hello there my friend in Abu Dhabi...This is Steve out of Doha. I WAS SLEEVED~last Saturday with Dr. Almanza in Mexico and everything thing has gone smoothly.....I left Mexico on Tuesday but now staying in a hotel in San Diego until I leave tomorrow (Friday) for Doha. Things went very well and I can't believe I feel as good as I do...I thought I would be in a lot more pain. Granted, I slept the two days after surgery but this OLD body is gonna need sleep to recover....LOL The process went so well....I am definitely GLAD I did my homework and 'knew' what to visually expect by the facility because it is definitely not a type of medical facility I've ever been too, basically in a strip mall, which for some was disconcerting....but the care, service, concern and patience was exceptional. Their professionalism was superior and the 'family' atmosphere at the recovery house really was nice and extremely helpful.

Tomorrow I fly back to Doha....a bit concerned but will be taking all of the required precautions for a long haul flight...yes, ideally, I would like to stay for another several days but realistically that isn't possible PLUS I think I'm in good enough shape to do this.

Hello My name is Michelle but i go by Chella and i am getting ready to go see Dr. Ramos Kelly myself at the florence Hospital in T.J my surgery date is April 14th!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so nervous but have done EXTENSIVE research on this particular surgeon, his staff is great and Sandy Johnston is my patient coordinator she has been Awesome and i did get a chance to speak to Trish and she was just as everyone has said very kind and informative. I am taking my mother with me and hope for the best.

Does anyone out there have any more input on Dr. Kelly???????????
