That drinking slowly will pass... I'm two months out and I drink not morally I jus can't gulp a whole bottle of Water anymore lol
-
Isnt part of it also so you dont pee while under or waking up.
No not really doctor made sure I used the bathroom before I was under. Plus after you wake up you never pee right away it takes awhile because the anesthesia puts everything to sleep. That's why right after my surgery an hr later my dr had me walking around to wake up my lower section and to stimulate active blood flow throughout the body
-
I didn't have a catheter because my dr is the kind of dr that made me walk around right after surgery to get the lower pipes in gear again lol
-
it definitely will get better i can assure you that. once the swelling of the stomach decreases you will start eating normally. jus bare with the healing process. u was in your shoes so i kno.

If your going to cheat just pick a healthier option. Don't eat what the kids eat because they are at a different nutritional level than you are. Have a piece of fruit, Protein bar (low calorie/carbs/sugar) or drink Water to kill cravings.
I personally eat 5 meals a day because they are small portions. No sweets, junks, and lil to no carbs at all... Water is all I drink most of the day besides a lil tea from Starbucks

Overrating constantly is the ONLY way to stretch ya stomach after the surgery. This will be very discomforting in the beginning tho. I don't advise it.

You are prolly dehydrated. Most time we confuse thirst for hunger. Up your Water intake then tell me how u feel

Worry about losing the weight first. Baby steps. Leave that thought when you're ready for it

The shot does NOT have to be in the stomach. It can be anywhere on the body as long as that portion of the body is meaty. Arm, leg or butt.
I personally take it in the arm. Be careful tho not to rub it or it will turn into a lump. After you inject just wipe the area with the alcohol pad lightly. Don't rub, squeeze or press down on it. I REPEAT "Don't rub, squeeze or press down on it." those lumps will remain there for about few days to a week and they are bothersome.
Gluck

Best advice to you...
STOP WATCHING THE scale
...It is not your friend. Keep doing what you are doing and allow your body to adjust to the transformation. Get frustrated doesn't speed up the process, remaining positive and adoring every small aspect of change is. Trust me. Rome want built in the day a d even the workers who built it took days off. LoL

My advice to all of you having this craving and urge is to actually go back and understand what the sleeve was created for. Some assume the main reason was to stop eating junk. Not saying you'll do but some people I crossed path with did.
The sleeve = Portion Control
So you don't have to feel bad about have junk food if it is in moderation. Just don't over do it. I actually implement the half rule. Eat half of everything and either save or throw out the rest lol.. Trust me it works and limits caloric intake...
So indulge just don't get arrived away! Lol

So I'm back home Officially. Doctor has me on blood thinners (Coumadin) for the next 6 months and for the next 2 weeks lovanox shots 12hrs apart. When I got home a couple days ago I feel extremely weak and nausea played a great role. Very thing just felt extremely difficult to accomplish, but I noticed the more I increased my Water intake and literally forced myself to eat, I've been feel quite better. Today has to be the best I've felt in a longtime so I'm hoping tomorrow bears the same results with a lot more progression.
As far as Protein I have not been drinking it, I won't even lie lol. It makes me feel sick and I find it to be very ironic because I LOVED drinking Protein Shakes and powdered mixes Pre-opt. I guess the sleeve really does affect your taste buds in so many ways, I never noticed prior. I'm off the liquid stage finally. I started eating spaghettini and chilli. That's my ish for the time being and it does me JUSTICE! I try to eat at least 2 spoons of ricotta cheese every 6hrs. It helps a bit. I stopped taking that god awful protein shot which consist of 15g of protein. It really taste awful and made me hurl quite a few times. I mixed it with so many different juices and the taste still engulfs all flavors. I stopped taking my Multivitamins, which were in pill form and had to crushed, and switched to flinestones Gummy bear multivitimans which are great! Very light on the tummy I must say.
My energy has returned, my heartbeat has slowed down, and the dizzy I use to feel Everytime I stood up from sitting down or laying in bed is minimal. I hope for it to become nOn existent in a week or two. I will officially Begin work again Monday morning. I'm a firm believer that starting work and getting back into my normal routine would also stimulate my body to heal faster, so I'm all for it.
Wanted my surgery to a secret but the cat got out of the bag when I was rushed two weekends ago to the hospital. Now everyone in my immediate family knows. Oh well. Everyone had questions and even though I didn't feel like I needed to to explain myself I did so anyway. At least they would have my side of the story and not jump to crazy conclusions like they always do. Well, I'm about to sign off for a bit and get my water intake on and watch some tv. Hope everyone else is doing well!
Thanks for listening!

Does anyone know or have experience with dumping with causes other than sugar? I am 8 months out I know I had one because of accidentally eating yougurt with 27g of sugar. But I have had 3 since and don't know the cause. This has me in a panic that it will happen when I am away from home. I don't know if it is something that I ate earlier in the day or just before it happens' date=' when I suddenly feel very ill, have to move my bowels and can't, get clammy, heart racing etc. I feel stuck, not able to move out of it. I know most people don't have this with the sleeve and may even be one of the reasons they choes the sleeve, but this has me scared! As always appreciate any help/suggestions.[/quote']The only "dumping" sleeve patients have is consuming too much food or liquid too fast in one sitting. You prolly ate too much or drank too much and didn't notice till you threw up.

I found it funny that the women were the very first to comment on his man issue Smh lol...
Here's an honest trick if you think it's a chaffing issue use vaseline around the area OR powder it up...
Thank me when this issue is past tense!

I had my band revision surgery on 4/30/12. I've been eating and drinking; my eyes aren't showing any indication of jaundice' date=' but my urine is still too dark. I was thinking maybe the meds is the cause of the urine color. I don't want to be hospitalized for dehydration, etc...Looking for help/suggestions.[/quote']The meds are a huge reason why your urine is darker than its suppose to be. When you take meds you have to increase your Water even more than before. My urine is dark also and that's what my dr today me today. U need enough Water to flush the meds out of your body.

That's feeling of missing food and will slowly fade away and that connection will disperse. Trust me 2months out the psychological difference will be your prude, joy and greatest asset.
