    Pain

Sorry to get everyone all worried but I dropped iPhone on in the toilet bowl while vommiting. I am currently still in the hospital. My Dr thinks I have deep vein thrombosis in my abdomen area. They put me in the critical care unit after I threw up and decided to continue monitoring me. The ab pain subside slightly but have severally limited my moved due to the pain I receive in response. Dr decided to keep me on a full liquid diet ... I havent passed any gas since Sunday but my bowel movement are functionaling. Not at it's best but it's getting there according the dr. They checked me several times for stool sampled to to ensure that I was not bleeding in my stool., They put me on more blood thinners and I actually went in today for ultrasound. No blood clots in my legs, not all arteries and traffic ways were found in my abdomen during the vascular ultrasound. Currently I'm in bed. Will be missing a whole week of work may even get fired for being a liability. Iono I don't care my health is more important right now. Jobs come and go. I just wanna tell everyone thank you for the prayers, hugs and especially the warm wishes of recovery. I was pretty shocked to see this thread branch out like it did so I do appreciate the love from each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart I would have updated my situation but I had to wait for my cousin to get me a new phone from bestbuy. Which was very difficult since bestbuy wanted me to be there physically in person despite my condition.

    Pain

I took everyones advice including mine and decided to call my surgeon. After playing manhunt with the hospital they finally located him and connected us. He ask me to come in IMMEDIATELY. Practically face me an hour to get to his clinic. Once I was there they did the usual Pre testings, then I finally got to see him. After touch around my mid section trying to locate my center of pain, he noticed the internal tenderness. He advised me to check into the ER and he would inform the ER of my current state. So I left and proceeded to walk to the ER fatigue, weak, hurting and naseaus. Once I got there they checked me and I had to approximately 20 mins in order for them to check me into triage. The wait was ridiculous but worth it because all my docs and nurses were well-informed about my situation. First thing this proceeded to do was give me a X-ray to test for leaks... I drank that disgusting liquid sip, sip, sip, gulp. I practically threw up over the guy, I even forewarned him about this potentially occurring. After the test was complete he told me that he found no leaks, but did see a lot of acid reflux in action. I was very excited to hear that because I really didn't wanna go back under the knife for nothing, the no leaks part not the acid reflux part. After returning from the Xray they drew some blood, flushed me, gave me some nasea meds and some morphine. The stomach pains subsided and I'm actually able to breathe in and out normally w/o any pain. So that's a win in my book. Now I'm laying here waiting for the cat scan to be completed. I drank some ice Water and my god it was the greatest thing to me lol. I've been drinking room temp water since day 1 of surgery so this was practically a new/missed sensation for me ... I'll be back with updates a lil later

    Losing Inches!

Lesss than 2 weeks out and I'm fitting into my clothes like a pro. Even my sneakers fit lovely. Thy use to hurt a lot if I wanted in them too long but now they fit so comfortable! My button ups use to be tight around the belly area, guess what??? They are even loose when I sit down lol... Everybody knows if the shirt is tight standing up it even tighter sitting down lol... I'm feeling grateful for this sleeve. I still have the heartburn and upset stomach dilemma but it's getting better day by day... Btw I have this crazy craving for something carbonated lol... Any way my last day of full liquids is Monday then I start mushy foods in over 3 and a half weeks!

    Personal Trainer

Find a trainer who also has a nutritional background... The combo is great. I use to be a personal trainer for New York Sports Club and my motto was always to teach not coach. Every client I ever had I taught them how to train themselves and they loved the feeling. The only time I coached was when I knew thy WEREN'T giving it their all. I personally didn't have a nutritional background but I took many nutritional classes that helped me help my clients. Be prepared to find a personal trainer that will listen to everything you say and adopt it to your current situation in order to create a solid workout regiment just for you.

    So Very Annoyed! Not Losing

You gotta be patient your body is still healing. Everyone is so concerned about the honeymoon stage that they lose sight of the real tool. Yes some is may lose a lot of weight during the first couple weeks post op and that's only because they are on a liquid diet and their body is trying to heal a traumatic wound. BUT some people are opposites, they lose less during the honeymoon stage and gradually start to lose much more after that period of time. My advice to you is keep doing what your are doing and eventually you will see the change and feel it also. Just be patient... I highly doubt there has been anyone in the world who has been sleeved that did not lose weight. Trust me. Your time will come!
