My greatest advice to you would be to walk, walk, and walk. I just had surgery on Monday, April 18th. So, I'm now 5 days out. I am actually feeling really good. Anytime I feel any discomfort or pain I would get up and walk in the hospital. Now that I am home, I am doing the same thing. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  8. I can't believe that I will finally be sleeved tomorrow. It's been 11 months since I started the process. Now, it's here! I have received so much guidance from the website. But, I want to give a huge shout out to my friends from the So. Cal Group. They are an amazing group of women. Looking forward to see you on May 7th!

    Anyone using Mirena IUD?

I have a Mirena and have had it for a year. I really haven't noticed any weight gains with it. It was one of the best things I have done especially since I haven't had a cycle in a year now.

    My life changing year

Congratulations to your successful year. I'm waiting for my surgery date to approach. It is April 18th but I know the time will fly. Everyday I am learning something new from this website. But, the success stories like yours really motivate me!
  18. As I read different posts on telling people about upcoming sleeve surgeries, it brings to mind my own situation. I have a friend of 13 years of on and off dating. We are presently dating again. I have dropped hints about having the sleeve down but he constantly changes the subject. When I started the process and had my ultrasound the technician found a mass on my liver which will be coming out at the same time I have my sleeve done. My friend knows I will be having surgery to remove the liver mass but he is just not listening when I talk about having the sleeve. Do I continue to let him think I am only having the mass removed or do I make him understand the process of the sleeve? When it come down to it, I am doing this for me and only me. But, I feel I need him to realize what I am doing. Any suggestions would be helpful.
  19. I am so excited....I received my surgery date this afternoon. My date isn't until April 18th, but I am just glad I have a light at the end of my tunnel. I know the time will go by fast as the time between now and then is so busy at school (I teach first grade!). I will be able to get through all the necessary things at school before I take time off.

Need to get serious about exercise, AGAIN.

I would be a week behind everyone but I would like to be held accountable for getting my exercise in. I'm pre-surgery but I need to get into a routine now. Congrats to all that fulfilled their commitment with week.
