I am a year out of being sleeved... I finally was able to fit a whole sandwich (cutting edges off/reg bread slices -not the big ones with oats and stuff)... how did I go from only being able to chow down 1/2 a sandwich to a whole one over night? It worries me that I stretched my tummy out? oh no!!! how do I shrink it back! I wouldn't mind eating this little forever!! I am freaking out... is this normal to finally be able to eat "normal"?

My mom is going to be sleeved hopefully this year. Tomorrow she has her psych appt. I don't know how my mom was able to support my decision to go under the knife. I am afraid for my mom, how about if there are complications and she dies? I don't want anything bad to happen to my mom What will I do without her... just very worried. She is a good candidate for this surgery. She is 54yrs young, asthma, depression, borderline diabeties, arthritis, nothing major. sigh... I just am a worry wart. She is approx 4ft 10 and weighs 220lbs, so she does need this surgery. It's hard for me not to worry.

I stopped going to their support groups because I was the only new one that would go and everyone else was veterans, lol. I felt left out when they would tell stories, haven't been to a support group in 6months! So who knows maybe there are more newbies there? They seem pretty cool and family knit type of closeness.
I had dr Kissinger as my psych dr. my mom has her appt with dr P.

I guess everybody reacts differently to meds? I hope you find the one that can help you out without gaining

Ok ladies....so I am not 40 or over but I am petrified about this happening. My husband is supporting my decision to do the vsg, but I know he will be disappointed for me to undergo this procedure only to say a yr out that I now need to have a surgery to remove skin.....Yeah right! Because of the fact that I sincerely want a lifetime change I would love to be able to say yes the surgery helped me lose the weight, but my determination, excercise and will power are keeping it off and now i look smoking! Any suggestions to what I can start immediately that may help reduce the amount of loose skin I may have? Any and all ideas welcomed and requested.
I am getting a body wrap, lol. hey gotta try anything. I will let you know how that goes!

oh, don't feel that way.. I think the first 3 days are the worse, after that it is a breeze... seriously after I went home I didn't need the pain meds. I had alot of gas pains but my dr recommend me to drink prune juice and that helped me poop and gas out, lol. Ask your dr before doing so, everyone is different. Also what did hurt was my back.. the inflation they do.. like a cartoon human balloon, lol.
This surgery was the best thing I could have ever done! I am happy to have done it!!!!!!! we are here to help you get through these days.. any questions, we are here, this is your support group <3
