I wore my 1st swimsuit 2 weekends ago and I looked fantabulous, except the bat wings.. saggy skin, but honestly it isn't bothering me as much as it use to, I wear them proudly now. I just wanted to share my joy with you all!!! I finally fit in junior size large and out of the plus section clothes!!!!!!!!!! I am a little over 2.5 months post op and I still get super cold, even when it was 90 degrees outside.
I asked my doc couple weeks ago, he said it was normal with the surgery, it will take some time. meanwhile I am the only nut with a coat on outside, lol.
I don't sweat anymore, which sucks, it makes me feel as if I am not working out hard enough when I really am trying.
Bow Chicka Bow wow dept is as hormonal as a pregnant woman.. what the heck! I guess this is all part of it the surgery effects.
OK, have I contracted Sleeve-opause? My body certainly has changed.
1) I get weepy at the drop of a hat, a Hallmark commercial would un-do me.
2) I use to sweat A LOT, now I hardly sweat unless it is a cold sweat, & my skin feels cold or clammy to the touch esp. my face & neck area.
3) When I (Bow Chicka Bow Wow), I seem to reach the end very, very quickly, too quickly.
4) I get these weak moments, very brief but if feels like my ears are about to pop with a disconnected feeling, just for a second, but pretty often when moving around.
5) The climate use to always feels hot or warm, now I get cold easily.
Some of these are good things, obviously others are not. I am 14 days out of surgery, I heard about some of these changes like sweating and being cold. But I thought this would take effect AFTER I lost ALL my weight. Anyone have these 'changes' this soon?

I guess I live under a rock! What is Biotin? Do I get that over the counter? I will be honest, I haven't taken Protein shakes in about a month!!! I did however purchase a Protein powder supplement that sprinkles over food. It's just too much for me, bleh... today I did have a Protein shake for Breakfast.
anyways.. THANK YOU ALL FOR THE ENCOURAGING WORDS!!! CAN'T WAIT TO POST ANOTHER WOOHOO POST... REACHING MY 2ND GOAL OF 175LBS!!!!

My cousin had WLS in Nov, so she has been giving me advice on what to expect. One of them was.. depression. I never understood why would anyone be depressed after loosing weight? I am approx 2months post op, lost 36lbs, but why do I feel depressed! She tried to explain why she was sad, which didn't make any sense to me. The reason why I feel this way is because, I feel disappointed. Not sure why. Have any of you been through this, or are going through this? I am sitting at home, feeling very lonely and left out... bleh

Hi everyone!
I have been MIA, friend recently passed on and I just couldn't get back to life. Slowly getting there.
update... I still can't eat, but I am o.k with that. I just work with what little I can eat. This week at work for Breakfast I had 1/2 cup of oatmeal, lunch I ate chicken Cesar Salads, prob like 1/2 a cup. Every 4hrs I nibble on some cheese, cheddar or laughing cow. I sometimes have a small handful of almonds. I can't really eat meats or anything dense/solid. I try to eat Soups and soft stuff. I am o.k with it. Yesterday hubby ordered some pizza and the grease smell made me sick to my stomach. I am not complaining, I actually like it. Keeps me away from all the junk. I am approx 2months post op and so far lost 34lbs, I was a size 22 pre op and now a 18 fits me big, but a 16 fits me tight.. woohoo!!!!! I am happy!!! Just wanted to share my joy with everyone, hope everyone is doing well.
I missed being on here <3

ah, why didn't I think of this!!! I did this HCG diet in the summer, lost weight but gained it back. But now that I can hardly eat, well it would be perfect to start on this diet again, I won't even be able to eat the wrong things because of my VSG... good thinking, I do have 1/2 a bottle left!

I am approx 5wks post op. I have only lost 26lbs, is this normal? I have seen other people have lost approx 40lbs , I feel like a fat looser. Not even surgery can help me loose weight. It really made me depressed. I feel like a whiny little brat but it's house I feel. I need some words of encouragement please. Seriously, how much did everyone loose?

congratz!!!!!!

For a snack I had a small slice of rolled up ham and plain Fage 0% in it, yummy I only use it as sour cream substitute, I can't eat it alone... bleh
-
I could not drink anything at all for the first 2 weeks!!! My dietician told me to eat sugar free popsicles, that went down so easy. Third week I was able to drink liquids like nothing. Hope you doing good now.

thanx everyone for your advice, I shall call. Hopefully it's nothing!

I don't know if my incision areas were asleep and numb for the past 21days after my surgery? As of today they are kinda hurting Before they were numb to touch, n now they are just ouching away. All my steri strips fell off and everything seems fine. One of them has a huge bump around that area, but it was the biggest incision so it maybe because of brusing? If it was a hernia, it would be painful right? It doesn't hurt when I touch it, only if I press on it. Should I worry, or is this normal?

my post op dietician gave me a list of stuff I can eat during mushy stage, hot sauces, chilis, peppers are all on it. I have been having them since I got on mushy stage. I have some Beans over some hot sauce. Yesterday hubby made mole (I am mexican so we cook mexican everyday, but now I will have to make it healthy), so I ate mole with greek yogurt instead of sour cream and some beans. it was yummy
