  1. I was sleeved on Monday and omg!!! I hurt so bad and now the gas pains hurt really bad. I don't feel like myself, i am dizzy and i feel like i can't care for myself. I guess i thought that this surgery would not be as bad as having a gall bladder removed or something, but i was wrong. I can't hardly sleep and my stomach keeps turning into knots. Im not trying to be negative, i just want ppl to know that this surgery is serious and is not an easy answer. The gas pain hurts alot and i also had severe diarrhea. The diarrhea has calm down some but the gas hurts. I too am worried about getting in all these Vitamins and Proteins. I felt as if i wasn't getting nutrients which was the reason why i feel so bad and lacking energy. However, taking these vitamins on an empty stomach seems to be too much. Can anyone help me or give me advice about feeling better and making this healing process go a little faster? I feel so miserable. How long is this going to last? What happens if i don't get all my vitamins or Protein in? Arrrr....Im so worried about everything. PLZ help!!! Love u each. Sheena
  2. Hey I'm having surgery today too! Laying in the bed waiting on the surgeon now. I love u guys so much I'm posting this msg. Good luck all.
  3. Thanks Lily for your kind words, You are so right and the main reason i decided to go thru with this is because i knew that once i had the surgery, I would force myself to make the necessary changes. For instance, i only had to go on this liquid diet today and i have been very obeidient because i don't want to cause complications. That is the beauty of this surgery because I know that I will have to follow the regime for fear that something will go wrong. Once i am used to it I am sure it will be a breeze. As far as family is concerned, they treat me like I weigh a ton. My highest weight was 305 and I am current 278. Almost everyone in my family is overweight but I am the heaviest female. Therefore, I believe they make comments to feel better about themselves. ALl i hear is once you lose the weight I am going to the gym because I don't want you the past me up and I don't wanna be fat by myself. Isn't that just stupid. I am doing this for me and my children. ALl they can think about is competion.
  4. I go in tomorrow too. I will be the 1st one at 6am!!! It is finally here and I am super nervous. What about you?
  5. Hello all the sleevers out there, My surgery is tomorrow morning at 6 am with Dr. Sinnostine in Georgetown Ky. I was wondering if the feeling I am having are normal. First of all, I would like to say thank you for every member on this post. If it wasn't for each of you, I don't think I would have the courage to be a sleever. It definetly takes a lot of courage!!! I have had so many mixed emotions in the past few months. I get excited about the weight loss but discouraged about the idea that i have to say good bye to all my favorite foods and life as I know it. My weight gain wasn't a result of eating too much in one sitting but not eating enough meals during the day, not getting enough activity, depo shots, smokers withdraw, and eating too much resturant foods. However, i do understand that if i eat less than of course i will lose the weight. When I look at all this paper work i am afraid that i will not be able to switch up enough foods to be satisfied during the first 3 weeks of full liquid diets. How am I going to eat and maintain when I am such the picky eater? How will I feel to have 9/10 of my stomach removed? Sometimes i get angry because if my family supported me more than always teasing me and reminding me about my weight than just maybe I wouldn't go thru this to lose the weight. On the flip side, I am excited about losing the weight, I just don't wanna fail. Thanks all and give me some feed back.
  6. Hey Kelly, we have the same surgery date!!! Good Luck
  7. Was there alot of pain involved? Did the hospital find the problem pretty quickly? I know that with every surgery has complications, my concern is that it is handle in a safe and timely manner.
  8. Surprisingly enough my dr doesn't require any diets before surgery and they are a center for excellence. Things that make you go hummmm. But I am forever grateful.
  9. Im from louisville but ashamed after watching that game. So now I am forced to cheer for uk! But hey I go there so it's not as bad as I thought.
  10. Hey guys! Yes the aquarium is beautiful I went just bout 2 years ago. Anyways I live in Lexington but from louisville. I have friends in cin so I go there a few times a year. Where exactly are u from? Anyways I am married with 2 kids and have been struggling with my weight for about 6 yrs now (after kids and depo shots). I dont have alot of fam support cos they can be the most cruel so I went online to find support from people who actually understand. I have 120 pounds to lose and after all this dieting, it seems next to impossible but these success stories give me much hope.
