  1. Thanks, Yoda, for all for all of the words of wisdom. I think it is funny, because prior to discovering this site I had minimal nervousness re: the surgery. It was only after mucking about on the various threads that I started to feel any anxiety. I guess I just know that the band is right for me - I can feel it - which is rare since I second guess everything! Next question for all of you pros: How bad is "pb-ing" (another thing that Nisrine smartly left out of the consultation!) ?

Hello All, I'm new to the site, and thus far have been wowed at how great everyone is. I can't believe that I didn't know about the existence of a place like this before when I was considering the surgery! Like you, Tres Chic, I am also having my surgery on Feb. 1 at the TLBC. I am getting excited! Just wanted to say hello. Good luck to everyone!
  3. Hi all! I am brand-new to the site - just found it and am beyond grateful that I did... You all seem so wise and supportive of one another! I'm booked for surgery at the TLBC on Feb. 1 and am now (after poking around the site) a liitle concerned about the number of people who have been "de-banded". So, I have two questions: 1) What causes the surgery to fail (aka, what can I do to make sure it doesn't) ? 2) If you need to be de-banded because of slippage or erosion, are you back to square one (having to pay for the surgery all over again), or will they repeat the procedure? Any feedback you might have would be awesome!
