  1. If you have a 4cc band I can see 2cc's being too much for you. You should try like .5 maybe? You could still have some swelling too. I hope you feel better. Give it some time, you'll start losing again.
  2. I'm so sorry to hear that. Thanks for sharing your story with us. I agree that you should stick around - it will help keep you motivated. Stick to all the rules so you don't have to re-learn them. Good luck
  3. Think of it like an hour glass. If there was a HUGE grain of sand mixed in with the tiny (well chewed) sand, when that large piece gets to the small opening, it can plug it up.
  4. Whoa! Glad you are feeling better. A lot of people report a problem with eggs - of most any style. Isn't it weird how something is ok one day but not the next? Kudos to your doctor for meeting you so quickly too.
  5. I posted in your other thread - I feel exactly the same as I did before surgery. I never had any swelling after surgey either. My scars are the only proof I have a band - who knows, it might not even be in there - lol. I do not have limitations on the type of foods I can eat and I do not have to take small bites & chew well or eat slowly. I do think I get full faster but that might just be because I've lost so much weight.
  6. Thanks! I actually have NO restriction. Not even any swelling right after surgery. I wish I had a secret to my success but I can't explain it either
  7. I've only had one fill ... 2cc in a 10cc band. I've never had restriction but I've lost over 100lbs!! Do what works for you!
  8. I've had one small fill but I've never felt restriction or my band. I feel no different than before surgery. I can drink and eat the same things and in the same amounts. I've lost 100lbs so I obviously don't eat the same way. I've changed my lifestyle and I do seem to get full faster now. I don't have to eat slow or chew well. I don't drink with my meals though.
  9. I LOVE it!! I mix it in my oatmeal. Put it on toast, apples, and bananas. I make sugar free choc pudding with PB2 ... it's like a Peanut Butter cup. Cool whip on top - yummy!
  10. You look GREAT!!! I just hit the 100lb mark myself!!
  11. That's exactly what my nutritionist said too. Maybe about 200 calories per day and adjust from there. I've been thinking a lot about maintence lately too ... although I still have a little way to go. Keeping the weight off has always been a bigger concern to me than actually losing it. YOU said some very inspiring things to me in the PS thread recently about new motivation and confidence that this time is different. We'll figure this out!!!

  13. I have the APS or AP small/standard 10cc band.
  14. Celebrate with me again!!! -100.5lbs :embaressed_smile::eek::frown:
  15. Things are pretty uneventful for me band wise - not much to add to most topics right now I guess. I've also been insanely busy with work. After months of being dangerously slow, we're booming! Which is GREAT but I'm already feeling burnt out. Been losing weight like crazy though - no time to eat lunch :biggrin2:
  16. Girl! You are almost 7 months into your new lifestyle and 76lbs closer to a new you - you are not burning out! You've been breaking the cycle - you're recognizing the negative behavior almost before it happens and certainly unlike in the past, before you are to the point of no return. Me and Salsa can do the NO-food Logging Challenge
  17. Wow!!! Everyone is doing so great! This is a good thread!!!
  18. hehe I was just thinking about doing the opposite actually. I've been a RELIGIOUS food logger since the day I started the pre-op diet. I use fitday.com. I've probably only missed a handful of days in the past 7 months. I really contribute a lot of my success to logging my food. I want to hide my scale and stop logging my food for a week or two and see how I do on my own.
  19. I'm usually in the 900-1000 calorie range. 10am B: oatmeal w/ PB2 or 1 cup Special K w/ 1% milk 1pm L: salad w/ Chic/Cheese/Egg (some type of protein) or 1/2 WW wheat pita w/ chic salad or tuna & fruit. 4pm S: cottage cheese or fruit or yogurt or 100 calorie pack 7pm D: Some combo of meat & veggie
  20. My APS band was placed with .5 cc's and my first and only fill was 2cc's. I have no restriction but I also have no complaints about my progress.

  22. Congrats Big Dawg!!! You'll do fine. How long do you have to stay? I was in for less than 24 hours. ajoneen - I'm sorry, I've never been to the support group. I met Dr Powers when I had my surgery. How did things go?!
  23. Thanks for the recommendation. I'm on LI and starting the consultation process soon. Who did your band? (I only ask because you said the PS spoke at your support group)
  24. We're pulling for you. Let us know when you hear about SD and keep looking to see what else is out there!!
