You are not going to die, you just are having trouble adjusting. The first couple of weeks are no fun and require a whole new mindset. My first month was not pleasant.
My words might seem empty, but I really have been where you are now. So here are some helpful tips and a reality check.
you MUST get in enough liquids to stay hydrated. Use a shot glass if needed and sip slowly every 15 minutes. Set a timer. If you don't you will be back in the hospital in no time. Can I suggest Isopure 40gm Protein (apple melon was tolerable) to get in some Protein? Also, drink Power Aide Zero diluted during the day to get in the electrolytes necessary to survive.
Think of food differently. You are now eating / drinking to survive, not for pure pleasure.
You didn't gain this weight in a week, nor are you going to lose weight in a week...so commit to the long haul.
Your body is pissed off. You probably used to consume 2000 calories a day & now you are drinking/eating under 750. Of course you are tired.

Understand you are in a metamorphosis and change is not always easy. Accept that and move forward. Things will gradually get better so hang in there. Hugs.
I love my sleeve and have no regrets.

First - YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE, nor did your sleeve fail you. Seems you know what you did to gain back this weight and what triggers caused this.
Life will always have up and downs. Once you conquer this may I suggest some counseling to help you deal with any future triggers? No more yoyo dieting. Chose wisely and you will be back - amazing yourself.
I repeat - you are not a failure. Getting back on track will see that scale going back in the right direction. Hugs to you for being so courageous to post.

Thank u so much for the support and advice. I am going to try the 5:2 to kick start my journey back. My birthday is next month so I am going to use it as my first goal. A therapist or doctor visit is out until hubby is working -as the bills from my recent surgery are still a struggle right now. I am also going to use fitness pal to track my calories.

I feel for you and glad you are reaching out. If you had your surgery in the states have you seen your surgeon. One of my fellow SoCal VSG members only lost 30 lbs total and went in to check her metabolism & thryroid.
Bottom line, problem with both. I want to encourage you to find answers and share with us what you are able to determine. Hugs.

Thursday I did a fast day and lost 2 lbs. Today I got on the scale and it said that I was down from 144lbs to 132.2 lbs....Then 5 minutes later I weighed again and the scale said 144.9 lbs. Confusing. Anyways I went to a support group today with other members from VST and some that are 2 years post op mentioned that they would like to join our group too. Iegal and sleeve4me and darla. They are excited about this group too. Thankful I can finally access this vst again. Boy have I missed you guys.....

    Hello;
Yes it is possbile. If you are willing to make life changes. The sleeve allows you to lose the weight but maintaining is a matter of not slipping into old habits. While I am at surgeons goal, I am about 10 lbs over my personal goal. Why? Because I graze and eat around my sleeves restrictions.
To newbies - you alone are the master of your own long term success.
I love my sleeve and have no regrets...even at 2 years 10 months out.

So as not to bore you, my story is almost exactly the same as NTVTXN...quick to goal, same weight, blah blah. I will be three years out in September. I am at surgeons goal, but am over my own personal goal, holding there for about a year.
I was 15 pounds lighter at one point, but was way too skinny and when I looked at pictures of myself I looked unhealthy. Then menopause hit about a year ago. BAM, 10 pounds added within two months.
Yes I would like to lose 5 pounds and can do this within a month if I eat correctly as my sleeve allows. But, sadly I eat like I used to which is bad, really bad. I eat crud and slider food. Am I hungry? Not physically hungry but I am mentally hungry. Mind games. Know what I need to do.
Conclusion, you map your own success. Follow the diet plan and you too can be successful. Eat crud often and you will gain back weight.
Hugs to all my fellow vets...and of course any newbies reading my warning.
