  4. Bean, you rock! Can't wait to see your "after" shots from your future races!!!!
  5. Cowgirl jane, sounds like you have def become the "shoulder" to a couple of "friends!" ( i say that loosely! LOL) Yep, I tend to overeat carbs if I am out of my "usual" routine. Sad, isn't it? Just too easy to do.. As to 5:2 before surgery. Here's my take on it. Weight loss is just a minor benefit of fasting. Number one is health. As for me, it has become a lifestyle and it will follow me through every area/situation in life. If you don't feel that you can commit to eat as healthy as you have prior, then I would def not do it before surgery. If, as most of us, it has "cleaned' up and created discisplines somewhat, I don't see any reason why you shouldn't continue up to and including surgery. That said - you are the master of your situation!!!! Ha! Either way - I'm STILL jealous of your plastics! Just kidding - but am envious.
  6. Yes, I have. I had my annual appointment back in July. One 1/2 months after starting 5:2. Everything was normal except Vit D (as usual!) Always low in Vit D for some reason. (I think half the population is also!)
  7. GOOD. LORD. !!!!!!!!!
  8. Done! 498 total. I am so doggone tired I'm in the bed laying down at 7pm! Didn't sleep hardly at all last night for some reason. So nighty night! Hope everyone has a good day tomorrow! Still nothing from GT?

  11. Hee hee. I told you my "life verse" from the Bible is "bodily exercise profitteth little!" (YES, I know it's taken out of context but it's MY context! lol).
  12. WTG, Chimera! Resist, Laura, resist! LOL
  13. Logged 5.55 miles today. Total to date 91.3!!! To hit 100 before Friday is my goal!!
  14. LOVE the red glasses and top! Girl, you are a STAR!!!
  15. I didn't stall ever on weight loss. Easily reached goal at8 months but I truly know what you mean about mental stall! I did around year two. Let myself slide into "nothingness" as I call it for about a year! Woke up with 25 pounds of regain and huge regrets! It's very easy to do. But it's also fairly easy to pick ourselves up, dust off our basics, get our heads back in the game and go forward You can do it! Look at all the goals you GAVE accomplished and then Focus on the next one. Lots of us here to cheer you on and give ideas but basically, go back to basics and start! Start! Start! You can do it! I lost regain doing 5:2. If you think you need help, you might consider it but if still losing easily just do what you know to do and do it NOW! I'm saying this with a smile. Good luck!!!
  16. I totally agree with all the replies. Trust me, you NEVER had restriction for donuts!! I can and DID Down bags of powdered donuts over the last year! You can pack a whole lot of junk down our small stomachs if we choose to do so. Again, as others have said. You still have the tool you need and you can still accomplish YOUR goals! Get your head back in the game, stay totally connected to others like us who have the same struggles and are dealing daily with it and I think you will find yourself quickly in a "better place!"
