  1. I'm not sure since each Surgeon has different thoughts on diet. I know that at three months out, I couldn't handle any tortilla wraps and they would blow up in my still swollen small stomach. I'd be careful. I don't even ink I could eat some of the other stuff at that stage.
  2. So glad to have you here. You've conquered your fear now and I know good things are ahead for you. I'm almost four years post op sleeve and love it! Looking forward to hearing from you.
  3. http://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/394-band-to-gastric-sleeve-revisions/ Here is the link specifically related to band to sleeve revisions. Good luck.
  4. Since this is the Vets Forum, as moderator I'm going to move this to the General Gastric Sucess Stories where Vets can respond as well as non-Vets. Thanks.
  5. I agree. GG is a true researcher and very analytical so came across "strong" at times, but like you, I liked her. She has lost almost 70 lbs now from MFP!
  6. Yep, she did. And yes, it was between; but GG was always "up in LV's" business and they just didn't mesh. I REALLY miss both Butter and LV's humor and sarcastic replies.
  7. Yes, I am I interested also. I also have a new laser treatment my boss and a couple of others did that DID really improve neck waddle. Only about 700-800 a treatment. My boss ( my exact same age and Man) took two for )1500. They zap starting about upper mid chest (below collar bones) repeatedly which draws up the muscles. Very interesting.
  8. Florinda, EXACTLY! Why so we do this? I got down to 139!!!! And immediately began to slack off and include more junk and higher carb/sodium. Now I'm at 145-146! I know some might be water retention but the last month has been nightmarish. HA !!! I joined the Easter Challenge. I do better with a goal and this is short term so goal 139! 5:2 AND lower sodium because my BP been up some Fiddleman posted a topic about sodium and there are some articles I posted showing link between high sodium levels and increased stomach cancer/gastritis risk. We SURE don't need that with small stomachs! And if you eat a lot of lunch meat/rotisserie chicken it's pumped into it! .
  9. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/8671549/ Here's one. There are several I found. http://cancerdietitian.com/2011/01/whats-the-link-between-salt-sodium-and-cancer-risk.html
  10. Whoo hoo!!!!!!!!!
  11. I feel your pain! I'm exactly the same. I can hardly sit at times.
  12. Oh, you have NO IDEA! I'm almost four years out. Below goal and a size 6-8! AND a shopaholic. Can you IMAGINE the damage I can do ( and Do) with my Amex card? Just so disgustingly fun!!!!!
  13. Girl, I'm not fromBuffalo. But you look. Mahvelous!!!!!
  14. Hee hee. Love you. We would get along great!!
  15. I'm in. Current 144-46. Goal 139
  16. Why have I never seen this? Yummy!! Thanks for sharing.
  17. Good luck tomorrow. You will do great!!!
  18. Way to go! I'm betting you continue to lose more. Make sure you put a good maintenance plan in place. NOW. MAkes a huge difference in how you maintain you loss and not experience regain.
  19. It's the "mind games" our poor FAT brains play on us! I always "overthink" what people are saying or thinking. Usually, nobody cares less!!! . Hold that head up high, go straight on the misses section and don't look back because soon it won't you'll be thinking, "Am I really in a size 8-10?" ( or smaller). Way to go!!
  20. Oh, yes! . I have to "align" my legs to make sure they are not on top of each other when sleeping on my side since it's "bone on bone" now! Ha! And that is the truth !!! Not complaining about the problem since I NEVER thought i would have this issue!
  21. Yes, Dear Fiddleman, you should care. I had HBP prior to VSG and within two months was off all meds and normal BP for over 3 years. In the last few months, my BP on some occasions has been running borderline "high" such as 140/90. I have been under extreme stress and have had shingles and pain can cause elevated BP but the FIRST thing my PCP told me was SODIUM LEVELS. ????. I certainly do not want to go back on meds and am somewhat upset but I also Know my sodium levels have been much higher of late (due to all the PB crackers I hVe been consuming. ????). Also can cause increased risk of stomach cancer and gastritis which in our case with small stomachs would be, I would think, even greater. It's very important too that we get at least the full 8 glasses or more of water each day to flush our kidneys of sodium.
  22. Oh yikes!! Don't you hate it when antibiotics give you a UTI? Hope you feel better soon.
  23. Oh, so sorry to hear about your FIL, Sarah. Thinking of and praying for the outcome.
  24. Globe and FYE, I did the same thing in the store yesterday. Was trying on some shoes and went back and looked again because my legs were so SKINNY! LOL I LOVE skinny!
  25. I am SOOO jealous!!!
