Welcome to the VST family!

Best of luck to you ... fingers crossed!

Congrats ! ! !

I was hungry at first too and read that sometimes it takes time for the Ghrelin to leave your system. That is the hormone that tells your brain that you are hungry. Give your system time to adjust to everything you just did to your body. I hope this helps!

When I stepped on my scale yesterday the display showed 199.8 and this morning 199.2! I am so happy I have finally reached this milestone! I really wanted to get here before my one year surgiversary and I made it with 2 weeks to spare.
Thanks to all my VST family for the support along the way!!!

I had nausea and was fatigued for the first about 6 days, but no other symptoms at all. No pain. I could sleep on my stomach from day one. I was very lucky. Best of luck to you!!!

Very nice progress!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!!

My doctor didn't mention straws at all. I don't see how it increases the amount of air in your stomach. I think the extra air stays in your mouth.

You have to get used to a new normal for you. When you eat less, there is less to come out too.

Sending good wishes and healing vibes out for you tomorrow. Your beginning mantra must be Rest, Sip, Walk, repeat ...

The time off constraint has a lot to do with mental acuity. You might be taking a lot of naps in the beginning. I did.
I have a desk job that is as inactive as it comes. I returned to work on day 11 post op. I could have returned before, but I was out of town for my Dad's birthday.
I had a very easy time recovering from surgery. I had no pain and took no pain meds at all. Check with your doctor for recommendations.
