  1. i too have been struggling with my hunger returning and my love for chocolate back on deck. i'm in the exact same boat as kristina and broadway.

i'm trying my best to get back on track and i refuse to fail. i must say right now i kinda feel like that old jana struggling with my weight and trying to find the right diet plan.

i do however feel like i can eat alot more than in the earlier post op months, still much less than pre-op but enough now to actually call it a meal.

for example, i can eat all but maybe three bites of a frozen burrito but when it come to dense meat 3-5 bites and i am stuffed!

i don't eat bread bcuz i'm just not attracted to it anymore, it feels me up way to fast and hurts everytime i eat it no matter how much i eat!

i haven't been active on the boards much at all the last few months but it is very nice to know that i am not the only one struggling!

also i am one of those sleevers that never really got into excersizing the way i should have and reliead soley on my minimal eating to get the weight off, i kno this is bad and i know i need to get in the gym, no excuses. i feel like i've lost all the weight i'm gonna loss based on eating less and the only way to get to goal is to get moving.

with all that said, i've been stalled between 186-188 since feb and even thought i'd love to goal asap, if i never lose or gain another pound i am proud of what i've acheived and won't complain!

  2. jessie- i feel the same way most of the time! sometimes i just sit and remember the things i used to love and get sad a lil bcuz even if i attempted to eat it now it would be no more than 3 bites.

i love the weightloss i've had so far but i've still got a lot more to lose, so the road is far from over for me.

congrats on your loss as well.

  3. i'm glad i did a search before i posted because i was going to post a thread on the same thing. sometimes lately i don't even feel sleeved anymore. i mean of course i get reminded each time i eat but i'm 5mths out now and can pretty much eat very little of anything (besides bread&milk). i can eat about a cup of food very slowly over about 20-30 minutes comfortably. i learned early out not to eat to the full point because the more i eat the longer i have to wait to drink and i get thirsty very quickly after eating. and my weightloss has pretty much been stalled for the enitre month of january!

this is my first stall since surgery and it's driving me nuts! during the holidays i drank about 5 sodas total! i did manage to stay away from the cakes and pies though. it took me a whole week to fight the feeling and let the cravings go away. then the second week of jan i was fighting cravings for sweets! finally over that now but i feel like a lot of my old appetite has come back and i'm getting really scared.

i went to my 5mth last week and doc says i'm doing good and have actually lost more than expected. told me i need to get back to the basics and focus on my Proteins again and give the shakes a try but my lactose intolerence is not going to allow that just yet. i can handle ground beef, steak and chicken just fine but they all take so much focus to eat and get down properly it's a bit discouraging. i have to concentrate of chewing them pretty much to mush so they will not hurt going down plus even jus a lil of each puts me in over full mode and i have to wait at least on full hour before i can even take a lil sip of any kind of liquid.

i'm just getting nervous because i enjoyed my super tight restriction and didn't want it to go away! :(

  4. i am at 4mths out and have the exact same problem. i take 2 acid reducers, a gas-x, and about 3-4 rolaids a day and some days are better than others but it's still there. i've been recently switching brands off ppi and acide reducers to see if that may help but it has yet make any real difference. it can get quite painfiul if i let it go on too long without putting some kind of food or liquid in there. and it's annoying as i don't know what. maybe some else can help us out.

  5. i'm 11 weeks out and live a life very similar to yours, work full time, work part time and i live alone, and i've got the same question. i live on a budget so it would be an even bigger help if the meals were fairly cheap.

i hope we get some answers! :)

  6. My cycle came on 3 days after surgery for 7 days.....I have been looking for for the last week and can't find it no where.....

mine came 3days after also and lasted 5days...was supposed to be here last sun but all i've gotten was a lil spotting the last 3days, sometimes if i stress to much it won't come at all & i have been stressing dearly over this whole slow weightloss situation i'm knee deep in right now.

  7. it sounds like both of our minds are on the same page in the same book.

my loss has been much slower than i expected, i've only lost 22lb since surgery and i was expecting more like 60lbs by now.

i don't kno wat i'm doing wrong or wat's going on but this is not wat i was expecting at all.

i haven't voiced my feelings of regret out loud but they are def in my head.

your not alone hun! i'm right here standing right next to you.

  8. i feel the same way. my surg was on 8/11 and i was 260 and here we are 9/17 and i'm 241 (gained a lb since yesterday) and that's only 19lbs since surg! i get discouraged everytime i think of it bcuz i feel like i really could've done that w/o the surg if i really got my butt in gear. i was expecting to lose so much more, more quickly. i'm doing everything i'm supposed to do and i'm sure i could workout more but even with that lil downfall i still haven't lost much at all. there are some people on here that have lost 50-60lbs in the first month and it's been over a month for me and i've only lost 19! it truly gives me a sad face at times.
