Therea are medications that can up your milk supply considerably. I took motilium and in 3 days I had more milk than ever. I would pump 200 ml in just a few minutes and still have more. Talk to your doctor about it.

I had coffee since week 2 without any problems. Just the amount is less but my coffe is very strong and it has caused no problem whatsoever.

You are in great hands. He is very experienced, competent and caring as all the other professionals working with him. My experience with them was excellent!
Try to get in touch with people who will be there around the same time. It is really nice to meet them in person there and have the mutual support.

Hi Vickie
I am sorry to hear you are having a hard time. I tell you the B12 liquid sublingual or injectable will make you feel more energetic. I increased my carbs a bit and it slowed the weight loss but helped with the energy, especially in the middle of the afternoon when I was at my worst. I also miss the large meals...and feel frustrated at times as the weight loss is been sooooo minimal these past 2 weeks... But I am very happy as I know I would not be able to maintain the lost weight if not due to the sleeve.

Good luck!
I went there and had surgery with Dr. Kelly too. Uneventful, excellent experience. You are in good hands.

It is not about age but about BMI and the failed attempts to loose and keep it off. 40 is a high BMI and it for sure is impacting on your ability to enjoy a lot of things in your life. You will be able to get into sports and enjoy a lot of social activities that do not have to be directly related to eating a lot or drinking a lot. My thin friends from my youth would eat less than what a sleeved person eats. You just need to talk to yourself and really ake sure you are prepared for the limitations in the amount of food and drinking (including alcohol). I am sure you will be so happy with your new healthy body that you will find a lot of other social activities that do not impact on your sleeve. Good luck. Dont waste the best years of your life batling obesity.

Thanks

My hubby, who was not supportive of the surgery, has been a sweetheart. He just got me an ipad 2 as a gift for my first 25lbs. I am loving it all, the attention, the weight loss and the ipad 2 of course!!

I have started solids and so far it is going well. However, for the past 2 days I feel a strong pressure in my stomach and feel very full after half the amount I was having a few days before. I was able to eat 4 onces of blended food but now I feel too full after half of it. I was able to have a full egg and now I feel the pressure and discomfort after half of it.
Did any one experienced the same? I am wondering if i have undigested food taking room in my stomach . I guess the stomach will not get smaller, right?

I started one week post op. First I made it very light just to feel how it would go. Now I have my daily strong coffee in the morning with no issues. It is a very small amount, not the large Tim Hortons/Starbuck coffees. Saving money on this too

I have an office work and went back after 2 weeks but I was always tired. I had to go to bed as soon. I got home and I waddling almost nothing at home. I am more energetic now but still tire more easily. Maybe it was too soon for you as the job seems active and tiring. Perhaps you can work a few hours less for a while or just skip most of the house chores for a few weeks until you are feeling better. I hope you feel bettter soon.

Thanks everyone. I will buy more of them to have them always available at work and in my purse.

Does any one know if Atkins Protein Bars are allowed or good for us? I am in the solids stage and had 1/2 of the Peanut Butter bar which was very yummy. I did not feel sick or anything but then started to wonder if those are healthy and good for us. They seem to make a nice snack.< /p>

I went through the same with my husband. Including his perception that I was being selfish too and all the bargain to try again with diet and exercise. he even called family and frinds to ask them to talk me out of it and it caused a high level of discomfort in everyone as I had to shout out loud that I WAS GOING TO DO IT, NO POSTPONING, NO RETHINKING, AND NO MORE A PIP ABOUT IT. I went by myself and did it and I do not have a pint of regret.
He is now much more supportive and happy about my decision. He helped a lot during recovery and is always attentive to see if I am drinking enough, etc. He sees the diference in my body and especially in my mood.
I am sure your wife will be supportive and maybe consider it to herself after you do it. Go ahead. We all know that we cannot do it and maintain it with diet. The sleeve is not a magic tool but it will work with you so you can achieve a healthier life.
Ask her to visit this forum, post about her fears and concerns and read about our many success histories. maybe this will help her to overcome her fears.

I had horrible gas before surgery and now it is gone. After surgery I only had gas once when I had prunes. never since then. I think I was intolerant to some food or it was the excess of carbs... now it is fine, maybe the healthier diet is helping.

Are you taking potassium? If not, talk to your doctor about it. It helps a lot.

I also thought about the "aggression" on my body... but then I looked at my photos and saw a much more serious aggression... 75 pounds packed on in 10 years, sleep apnea, knee pain, back pain, bloating and gas, fatty liver, moving towards diabetes... I could not understand how I got so far, how I let that happen to me, how I did that to myself. Now I am happy and my body seems to be very accepting of the harm reduction approach I took. Knee pain is gone, sleep apnea is gone, fatty liver is gone, bloating is gone... I am positive I could not do it without my sleeve.

How about those barefoot shoes? They protect your soles while giving you the same feeling of being barefoot. Lots of research done on those and they seem to be excellent.
