  1. Just wanted to let you know they canceled my surgery yesterday. I showed up, they had me in my hospital gown and support hose, ready to give me pills for surgery when the Anethesia person came to check me and sent me home. I have a cold and he felt my lung congestion and cough would not allow them to administer anethesia properly and thus increased risk. So....back to the drawing board.

  2. Just wanted to say hey. I joined the board about the same time you had your surgery. You are doing great - almost 90 pounds gone! Keep up the good work. You must be so proud of yourself and feel soooo much better. I am rescheduled for surgery on April 13.

  3. Kathy....Congratulations on your success!!! You look fantastic! I finally got sleeved - April 13, so am just 12 days post op and starting my journey. Hoping I am as successful as you!!! Way to go Girl!! Renee

  5. LOVE your new picture! You look amazing! Congratulations on your success! Renee

  6. Missing You!!!

  7. Not sure. I have had a small piece of SF Hersey Bar and did fine as I just let it melt in my mouth. I'm trying to stay away from protein bars due to the carbs but have wondered about them too.

  8. OMG - I just saw - you are over 100 lbs lost! Congratulations! You are doing AMAZING!!! You must feel so much better. I can't wait to get this weight off and be able to move again! BTW - Love your new picture!

  9. On the Count Down - 3 days til Surgery...Yikes!!!

  10. P.S. Deb (Dansha) is my mentor and my inspiration. I see she is on your friend list too!!

  11. P.S. Had to rejoin the new site by adding a extra "n" to my user name as it would not let me post under my old name. Renee

  12. Rescheduled Surgery for April 13. Just hoping I don't chicken out!

  13. Robbie, I am finally sleeved. Dr. Hoehn did it on Wed. April 13. How are you doing?

  14. Saw you just had surgery. I had mine on April 13. Hope you are feeling better with each passing day! I am going to add you as a friend so we can stay in touch. Renee

  15. Saw you post and your upcoming surgery date. I'm scheduled for April 13. Let's stay in touch. I too am looking forward to riding my bike again!!

  16. So good to hear from you. I'm glad you have picked yourself up and are feeling better. I have really missed you and have thought about calling you, but didn't want to bug you. I am doing well. Don't seem to be having much problems at all. I have an appointment with Dr. H in June (June 15 I think). Anyway, lets try to get together when I'm up your way. It would be great to see you again!

  17. Sooo good to hear from you. How are you doing???

  18. Sort of. I'm having some weird pain in my left side. I called the doctor's nurse and she said it sounded like muscle pain, but to let her know if it gets worse.....not sure what to think. It comes and goes and sometimes really hurts. Other than that...I'm good. How about you?

  19. Sounds like you are doing great. I have been stalled for the last several weeks. I was sooo good about staying away from carbs and have been eating some carbs lately so think that is probably why. I really need to get focused again!

  20. Survived Day 1 of Preop Diet, But Struggling....

  21. Tell me what you are eating these days. I have been kind of stuck having the same things, i.e. egg salad, turkey cream cheese rollups, cottage cheese, scrambled egg with cheese. Any suggestions??

  22. Thanks Deb! Congratulations to you....I see you are now down 112 lbs. THAT'S AWESOME!!!!

  23. Thanks Deb. I wish I was closer to KC as I live about 2 hours away. I am hoping I can find a support group locally or maybe start one. Maybe we can connect when I am up in KC for appointment with Dr. Hoehn. I would love to meet you. You are doing great!

  24. Thanks for the honest answer. I have always loved good food and I guess it's hard to imagine not being able to eat hardly anything. I guess I just need to remember that it is somewhat temporary as Tiffikins says she can pretty much eat whatever she wants - just in smaller portions at one year out. I know I can't continue to weigh what I weigh and be healthy.

  25. Thanks for the support. Maybe we can connect when I am up in KC for one of my appointments. You are doing great!!
