  1. As for what I'm eating --- I'm still drinking my Protidiet Hot Cocoa in the AM - that is the only supplement I have been doing. I'm eating cottage cheese, greek yogurt with fruit, refried beans, hamb and shredded cheese (inside of taco minus the lettuce), rotissuire chicken with ranch dressing to dip (needs to be moist), I'm thinking about trying some watermelon. What about you?

  2. I think you are doing great - you're down 28 pounds! That's awesome. I'm doing okay. Still need to get more exercise as I have a desk job and find at the end of the day I'm tired! I know I need to push myself and hope to get walking this next week. I'm tracking my food and sometimes am lacking in protein and water so that is another area I need to work on.

  7. Sort of. I'm having some weird pain in my left side. I called the doctor's nurse and she said it sounded like muscle pain, but to let her know if it gets worse.....not sure what to think. It comes and goes and sometimes really hurts. Other than that...I'm good. How about you?

  11. Good to hear from you. I love your new picture!! Too fun! I seem to be getting along well, other than I have come down with a really bad cold and am coughing a bunch. I am concerned I may cough open my staple line since I am only 17 days post op. I took some Robitusson Cough Syrup last night and that seemed to help. I am down 36 pounds (21 preop and 15 post op). I am sooo excited!!!

  12. Tell me what you are eating these days. I have been kind of stuck having the same things, i.e. egg salad, turkey cream cheese rollups, cottage cheese, scrambled egg with cheese. Any suggestions??

  13. Glad to hear you are getting along well. I had my 1 week checkup and everything looks good. Dr. told me he would see me in 2 months and I would be a whole lot skinner! Sounds good to me. I have started on some sort solids and seem to be doing well. Back to work yesterday and survived, but it was a long day!

  14. I'm good. Am 12 days post op and getting along well. Including 2 week preop diet, I'm down 30 pounds. I have a long ways to go, but am off to a good start! Do you have a date yet? Renee

  16. Hey Deb. Good to hear from you. I am doing well. I have tried scrambled eggs, egg salad, refried beans, lite yogurt, SF pudding, deli turkey rollup with cream cheese and so far so good. I don't seem to be having trouble adjusting. The only bad thing is the head hunger for some of favoriite foods. I have taken a bite and spit it out just to satisfy my cravings. Not sure that this is good....

  20. I am eating about 1/4 cup or 2 oz at a time. Takes me about 20 min to each my meal. Sounds like maybe your tummy is still pretty swollen. I go back to work on Monday. Not sure I'm ready for that as my tummy is still sore.

  21. How's it going? Just thought I check on you to see how your journey back to real food is going. So far so good for me - haven't puked yet anyway!! I've tried a scrambled egg, cottage cheese, deli turkey with small amount of cream cheese rolled up, and refried beans so far. I'm going to make deviled eggs for easter so that will be my next adventure! Hope all is going well for you. Renee

  23. Just checking it on you. How are you feeling? I am amazed that at 8 days Postop I feel pretty good. Got my staples out yesterday, Including Preop loss I am down 26 pounds. Woo Hoo!

  25. Hi Deb. I went to see Dr. H yesterday. I'm doing fine. Got my staples out (which feels much better). I am to go back in two months. (He told me I would be down a bunch when he sees me next!) I lost 4 more pounds so counting my preop loss I am down 26 pounds. I'm still sore, but actually had an egg and some cottage cheese yesterday. Woo Hoo!! Renee
