Same here about being cold. I went to the movies today and of course took off my coat and scarf as soon as I sat down. Maybe 5 minutes into the movies I was freezing. I looked around to see if anyone else was cold. Nope as a matter of fact I saw several people with short sleeve shirts on, I tried to tough it out,but I finally had to put my coat, scarf, and gloves on and was still freezing.
I take being cold over being obese any day of the week tho!!!!

Hey VBG, I too have Dr, Hoehn as my surgeon. He is worth every penny spend. With that being said. I too was told at the seminar there is a $500 nonrefundable fee for the support group...etc. However, when I submitted my paperwork, the insurance case manager called and told me because of their contract with my insurance company I didn't have to paid the 500 bucks. I would have paid it anyway becuz I wanted my surgery, but I didn't have too. So what I am saying is maybe your insurance company might have a contract with Dr. H too. You will never know until you submit your paperwork. Good luck!!!

I think anywhere we go it's gonna be FUN!!!! I personally like the Keys idea, but I am flexiable. Can we bring family or is it just for us sleevers? Holla!!

Ok gang, well, it appears that Vegas and Texas are the top picks. I think Vegas would be easy enough to put together; reserve the hotels and agree on a meeting place and times for any round tables or meetings we might have. Personally, Vegas doesn't do much for me, I've never been a gambler and I'm not much of a drinker but I would definitely go if the timing is right just to meet you guys.
Texas is another story I think; the organization might be a little more complicated for someone who does not live there, like myself. Anyone wanna volunteer with a tentative itinerary or suggestions of things to do/places to stay, etc.?
I wish I could talk you guys into coming to the Keys; beautiful scenery, cheap-ish hotels, tons of activities and I have access to conference facilities. By way of my work, all of the activities I mentioned at the outset; fishing, snorkeling, diving, sailing and so on would be at cost (cheap!) if not free. Check out the website www.bsaseabase.org and ignore any pricing and whatnot.
Other catch for me is if we're going to do this in 'summer' I could only get away the second or third week of May due to school and work constraints. I work at a Scout camp so as you can imagine, I'm slammed during the summer.
If we did do this in the Keys, you would need to fly into Miami or Lauderdale and then take a shuttle or rent a car to Islamorada. I can organize everything but the flights and am happy to do it.
Keep the feedback coming!

Each person is different,so with that being said. I have had two pregnancies and my pain with childbirth was worse than my WLS.
As a matter of fact after surgery I was feeling soooo good my first thougt was "DID I HAVE THE SURGERY." LOL.
Again for every person who says their surgery wasn't that bad there's gonna be a equal amount of peple who say it was the worst, but I don't think you will find many peeps who regret having the surgery no matter how much pain they were in.
Good luck!!!

I love the bars and hot chocolate from Slim4Life. They are a bit pricey, but sooooo good. Really all of the bars I have tried are very good. They have about 15 grams of Protein in each bar and also the hot chocolate. The hot chocolate warms you up on these cold and snowy days and nights.

Congrats Maddie. I just now ran across this thread and knew I had to respond. You have been truly inspirational to me. You are one of the first people I can remember when I joined this forum. I have been following you from the beginning of your journey and have been so impressed by you.

I right with you on that one. I walk and very little of that and that's about all I do!!! I know I need to tone up especially at my age, but I just don't want to. I too have Leslie Sansome's Walk away the Pounds and have access to WII Fit, but I am just not motivated to EVEN try them. My excuse is let me lose 10 or 15 more pounds and I will do more. I have lost over 115 pounds to date and ..... still no exercising.
I want to be a exercise junkie, but wanting and doing are two separate things.
Any suggestions, tips would be greatly appreciated by anyone!!!
