Baby girl it is getting very hard to stay focus. Coming here on the boards and reading peeps stories and sucesses does help. For the next two weeks I am on vacation and I hope to renew myself. Losing weight has always been a mindset game for me. I might join WW. I have always loved their program and now I hear it is protein base. How are you doing? TTYL.

I totally agree. Enjoy it while it last. There is a 6 month window where you should lose the most weight that u can becuz later it gets harder and harder. Sometimes I long for the early days. Deb

Yeah.... I asked my surgeon about me keeping my stomach and them making a DVD of the surgery. No to both requests. They stated bio hazardous waste and the hospital has to throw it away. Deb

Welcome Randy My decision to get the sleeve is one of the best decisions I ever made. Once you get yours I am sure you will agree. Baby girl I know what you speak up. Don't get me wrong. For my age i look pretty good. But to ME my face has change. Some for the better some for the worst. The worst being I see laugh lines that I NEVER had before and I have a freaking turkey neck. On the plus I have beautiful eyes. Boobs, butt and arms.... well don't get me started. My boyfriend doesn't seem to mind, except maybe for the butt. LOL. Saving money now to fix what I can. Boyfriend says he will not help becuz I will probably leave him when everything is fix. He he!!!! Deb

OK here's the skinny (pun intended). For a 52 yr old overweight woman my face as always been fairly decent looking. No wrinkles, no sagging skin no nothing. Which of course some peeps assumed I was younger than I was. Which I loved. Who wouldn't??? Now...... can I please stop losing weight on my face becuz to me I look old and haggard. My face is NOW SAGGING. I have laugh lines. I am not amused!!!! Are there any exercises I can do or will Botox help? What about Juvederm??? A face lift is out of the question becuz I am saving my money for the boobs. This is one 52 yr old woman who gonna have some nice boobs. LOL. Deb P.S. I have a turkey neck now too. Excuse my language, but WTF???? I need help becuz sometimes I think I sabotage myself becz of this. Which is stupid I know.

BBJ is botox just for the 11s and forehead wrinkles? Becuz i am blessed I did not have any and I don't have crows feet..... yet. Just the laugh lines and dreaded turkey neck. Will laser work on these areas and does the dermatologist do it?

What is the "standard" for surgery?

It is kinda weird that there are so many variables. But like stated earlier it's the surgeon's choice. It's what's working for them. In my case my surgeon had me on a two week liquid pre-op diet. I was in the hospital for one day and had a drain, but it was taken out before I left the hospital. I had two leak tests. One right after the surgery and one the next day. I am glad I was in the hospital for at least one day becuz the nurses monitor your vitals every 2 to 4 hours and I felt if anything went wrong right after surgery what better place to be than at the hospital. As it was the nurses checking my vitals and drawing blood discover my potassuim levels were to high. They quickly got that under control. Good luck...... YOU WILL LOVE YOUR SLEEVE. Best thing I could have done for and to myself. Deb
