Can u really eat without dump problem that is what I am afraid of because I am at times a sugarholic? Doc just told me I have slip and must have replacement but not sure that is what I want and not sure what insur will pay for, cardshark

You dont have anny side effects? What cant u eat? I have band and just told I have slip and must have replacement but not sure thats what I want to do. But want to know truth from real people not the doc truth(if they even know how to) I have ulcars and have to be on antibioatic before they do anyting and my mind is going crazy. I only lost 40# but I am happy and feel so much better family doc would like me to lose 40 more but not happening . really you can eat and not have that dump problem which is my big fear? cardshark

Ruth, how are you doing now? I just found out that I have to remove or replace my band and do not know what to do. Have you gained or are able to stay steady? Cardshark

I had the same thing in 07 and reaally wanted mine out but all are right just give it time andif you stay on program AND DONT CHEAT dont make yourself sick it will work. And I am saying this knowing that in 30 days I have to have it removed or replaced because I got an infection and the flu that caused slippage. Now LOL I dont want to loose my best buddy. My doc told me yesterday I have slip also but he wants to replace and I just dont know . where did you have it done ? my mind is so messed up right now. first thought was to just take it out but then the panic will I gain it all back? But I know what you said to be regular again would be nice but I cant stand the thought of gaining and feeling the way I did. Cardshark

Good morning hope someone reads this. I have no support except my husband. Doc says I have infection & ulcars and my band has slippage saw the pics and it is so scary cried most of yesterday. Got my band in 07 and have lost only 40# but only because once I felt good I stopped working it so all my fault. But now I have to do it all over and not sure what to do, Has anyone had it replaced or removed? Lots of thoughts going in my head. Let him replace it or just remove it? Family & friends want me to remove so I dont have to worry again. But they dont understand that 40# was huge and how much better I feel, I dont think I could stand it if I gained it back, know I couldnt. Dont trust myself if I dont have and feel so weak why cant I do it without the band? Does anyone have idea or have you done either? Cardshark
