  1. Whew...I'm glad that you say that because Mexican, Thai and Indian foods are my favorite, and I really wasn't ready to completely cut them out of my life. That being said, I also don't need to eat an entire plate like I have been either...thanks for the feedback!

  2. Hi all,

I'm considering VSG and am concerned because I really love spicy foods....can I eat spicy stuff post-surgery do you think, or will it bug my new stomach? Anyone have experiences with this? I would just have to think twice if I can't have a spicy curry again...lol. But seriously, I would love to hear any stories that you might have. Thanks!

  3. Can I pose another question? My surgeon says that he wants us to use biofeedback (listening to our bodies) to indicate how much we should eating, and that targeting certain carb/calorie levels in the day makes us obsess about food and our weight, something that got us here in the first place. Has anyone else heard this from their surgeons? It seems like everyone has these really specific plans set up for the number of carbs and Protein, and I just don't know if my surgeon is going to have me do the same thing...I'm nervous that I wouldn't stick to a strict plan...any suggestions??

  4. So I am really new to this whole procedure as well, and just wanted to put my question out there, too. I hope it's not too off topic - did any of you get that feeling that if you just tried one more time to be a "healthy eater" and a "regular work-outer" that you could do this on your own? The age-old "just eat less and work out more" mentality that we always hear about? That's my biggest sticking point right now...I don't know if I should have surgery or just work harder on my own. I feel like surgery is the right option, but I'm really scared of having that option fail for me too! Any thoughts??
