  1. Thanks for the info Eureka-C... interesting that wls and non wls should be consuming the same or similar amounts... looks like it is protein all the way home then...lol... at least we know that we are on the right tracks! =]
  2. Chilo.... a month ... oh man that is crappy!!! Have you spoke to your NUT? How is the exercise going? Could you be losing inches instead... how do those size 12s feel now? I am dreading my offical weigh day tomorrow... don't think I have lost this week!!!
  3. Like Chilo, I did the 5 day pouch test... followed it specifically for the whole 5 days, only lost a pound... BUT... when I went back to my 'normal' eating, I felt different... like I had rediscovered the restriction I had. I would do it again to refocus myself!
  4. OMG.... i nearly fell off my chair when I saw this... phoarrrrr.... what a guy!! I defo need to get into those size 12 Bench jeans for the concert in July...lol!! Great pic... you made my day xxx
  5. Yea Susanne... got all that but without the actual dumping...lol... thankfully cos I was in work surrounded by teenagers! The rest of the day hasn't been much better food wise... way too many carbs today and I just feel a little 'blugh'. I am sure tomorrow will be better though!
  6. Interesting Sooon2bskinny! Is that why my clothes are getting smaller even though my weight isn't really going down significantly? Why does that happen? and the good news is that it gives me an extra year to save up for the TT...lol =]
  7. Hey Thin, been meaning to ask you about your incredible stall... can you remember when it happened... how much have you lost since? I am losing about a pound every other week at 6+mth out and am wondering if it is a similar situation to yours and I have my fingers crossed that things will speed up soon... any advice? =]
  8. Pamela, firstly, congrats on a job well done... you are looking amazing! And secondly, you are not a slow loser... you are two months behind me (sleeved beg July) and I ain't even half way yet... nearly but not yet! Keep up the good work... =]
  9. Hey Mini... that colour is lovely... right kinda shade but perhaps a tad too red... I have readt the other article and by the sounds of it I am 'cool' so best to stay away from reds??? I was right that semi permanent is the way forward... once my hair has stopped falling out I will get some blonde thorugh it too.... looking forward to the weekend now! I am also thinking of a restyle now mainly cos of the how fine it is but also cos I now have a neck...lol =]
  10. Just thought I would have a wuick check in.... no weight loss so far this week, but my offical day is sat so I am hoping that all the exercise I have been doing will show a lil loss !! Had a weird day today... I think I had that dumping thing... I went really dizzy, started to sweat - a lot- went very hot and very cold and my head felt cloudy... within halkf and hour I had a really bad headache and felt sick! Foolishly I treated myself to 1 choc (from a Dairy Milk Box) and one sugar in my coffee at break ... although it wasn't THAT much sugar it is more than I am used to! Could that have been the cause? Feel better now ... all symptoms went by 3pm! Talk about feeling guilty ... went to Zumba tonight!
  11. Cheers Tiff... I know I have to keep the rule for now and until I get to goal or near to goal... I am just getting a lil bored of meat; I think I am going to have to experiment and try some new tastes!
  12. Thanks ladies... I will have a look over the weekend for a semi permanent colour... I am thinking a chestnut brown or perhaps lighter... and yea you're right... it does make me feel better, I was just a lil worried! These greys are not good!! x
  13. Robbie the love muscle Williams... British singer and 5th member of Take That!
  14. Hello, As per my post op directions I am following the Protein first rule; but I am wondering if there is a time when that changes? Is it a forever thing? Do I do this just while I am losing? Will there ever be a time, in the near future, when I can eat my veggies first? Any long term sleevers out there with some wisdom for me?! Thanks in advance =]
  15. Hello fellow sleevers, I am 6 1/2 mths post op now and my hair is still falling out albeit slower than at first. i have noticed an abundance of grey hair coming through, both on the regrowth and on the longer, older hair. My question then, is simple, should I dye my hair - to get rid of the pesky grey - or leave it a while longer? As you can see from my avatar pic, it is non descript mousy brown colour... Hmmm not sure what to do!
  16. Oh what a great feeling that is... I LOVE shoes... I can now wear heels to work and I don't feel like my feet have been dicontected from my legs... great NSV!!
  17. Great results there... well done you! and well over half way to goal! x
  18. Hey Chilo ... glad it helped... I just felt that I should write something positive cos I do seem to moan a lot on here... or at least that is how it feels! Look at your BMI... you are sooooo close and wearing size 12-14 (UK)... C'mon that is bloody brilliant!! You are looking amazing; fit, healthy and really SLIM! The last hurdle will be the hardest and longest, but you are sooo close... and probably losing inches too!! Chin up lovely ladyeeeeee xx
  19. Oh Diva.... Seriously, when I see that man, there is a chemical reaction in my brain... He is just super sexy and I love him!!! Don't know if I mentioned it but I am going to see him in concert with Take That; they reformed last year, and I can't wait... 140 days to wait... and counting!!! Phew *knees start to wobble* x
  20. Hey Diva, yea I am sorta thinking along the 5k thing,.. over here we have a the Race for Life that is a 5k run for women's cancers... don't think I'll be ready this year but I'd love to next year and I am hoping my daughter will do it with me... this time last year I couldn't walk on the treadmill for 40 mins!! xx
  21. Hey Mini-Me... yea I am hoping that the inches are being kinder that the scales... I measure every other week or so... I will let you know on Saturday!! But... my recently bought size 18(UK) trousers are starting to hang! I should get a smaller pair but am scared they'll be too small... I did buy a size 16 dress and it is a little tight :-( dunno whether to take it back or keep it as another motivator??? I LOVE SMILING x
  22. Hey Disney... the man is a walking sex God and I lurvvvvveeee him!! For my motivation I have a picture of him on the wall in front of the running machine... 'Robbie! I'm coming to get you!' ... lol! x
  23. So, my plan was to start the New Year with a positive outlook regardless of what the scale said... and I think it is working! Okay, so I ain't losing quickly but it is coming off slow but sure. The strange thing is all the comments that I am getting! Strange but I like it! In work, on a daily basis, I am getting a lot of nice comments... things like 'OMG Coops, you are getting smaller every day!' and 'Wow! You are looking really slim' (that one I do laugh at 'cos I wouldn't consider myself slim; smaller yes!) another 'You look really healthy now, how much weight have you lost?' Even the kids in my classes are being kind and giving me compliments. This is also happening at home too, my husband gives me compliments on how I look now (he did in the past but it 'feels' different now) and each time he gives me a cwtch (welsh for hug) he mentions that I am a lot smaller! My youngest can now put his arms all the way around me and tells me that I am looking good! My eldest wants me to go to Zumba with her, which is a great feeling knowing that she isn't embarassed to be seen doing exercise with me! My Mam and Dad are also commenting on how healthy I look .. now THAT is a NSV!! Over the last couple of months, my weight hasn't really dropped that much, but I think, because I am now feeling more confident and positive in myself it is being noticed by others. I am also doing more exercise and I think this too is helping me mentally and physically. This time last year I couldn't do much without a lot of pain.... now I am jogging for 40mins non stop!!! Yea, I know! Check me out! So all in all... my advise if you are going through a rough patch is to stay positive as it is infectious!!
  24. Yey... go Sarah, keep up the good work... and yes, a pound is a pound off forever... congrats! =]
  25. I also saw this and wondered the same thing... my average cal intake is anything between 800 - 1200 and I have to be honest I feel bloody amazing!! I am 6+mths out now though... sounds like you are in the early stages ... It won't be long until you are eating more!
