How was your 5:2 day today?

Hiya ladies... sorry I haven't posted in a while... have popped on to have a read though, Felt a little down over the last month ... just passed my 4th year anniversary and I still can't reach that goal weight that I dream of... top of my bounce range again! still doing 5:2 but my body seems to have adjusted to it and I am not seeing any movement on the scales. I have gone back to the gym, but not as often as I should... just struggling with my energy and motivation levels. I honestly thought that by now I would be 'lighter' but hey ho! Sarah, I am loving your results so far... looking great and I am excited for you... the results will just keep getting better. I am 16 mth post op tt now and I still have a weird feeling around my scar. The 'lip' is still there and I defo need a revision, but I can't afford it at the moment,.. one day perhaps. I think I probably should have lost more weight first as my surgeon said the lip was due to the skin dropping again (he won't do a free revision as it isn't not due to a 'surgical error') No regrets though, it has made such a huge difference; not only to my body shape, but to my mental state too - I just feel better without the huge apron that I had. If you want I will post pics on this page... I was looking back over them the other day and the difference, albeit not perfect, is incredible! Hope everyone is ok... sorry I haven't replied individually but I don't want to miss anyone out! Much love!

How was your 5:2 day today?

Just trying to catch up - apologies if I miss anyone or anything! Sorry to hear about the elderly parents... it is so sad to see those you love get weaker. Cwtches to you both! Good luck on the surgery Sar! I am excited for you... I loved seeing Sheryl's before and afters... I will have to find mine and I will share here... but not on the main forum. Anything I can help with, just shout! Organisation is the key in the early weeks and it sounds like you've got that sorted. Florinda, I'm glad you had a told your mam - and I'm chuffed to beans things are working out with your new fella! Hopefully things will continue to pick up for you. Georgia, I too am still 5:2ing - no results to speak of but eating healthy which is a bonus. Sheila, love the update - and the pets... nothing is ever quiet in your house...lol! I bet the pup ain't so small now. Have the girls finished for summer? Don't you guys finish school earlier than us? Denise, I hope Bill is getting better... Brown - I love the play... sounds sooo exciting! Are you having any success with the 5:2 these days? Cathy, I've never heard of that lighting system, sounds interesting though... I love decorating! The sense of achievement at the end of it is just fab. How's Chimera and Dee - well I hope. Sheryl, sounds like you are in a much better head space just lately... defo good to see you out of the blues! Good to see this thread thriving... sorry I haven't been around much. In a bit of a 'sad' place - nothing major just lots of little things and little worries that together make me tired. Just. So. Tired! I will update more soon, promise... hugs across the pond! (and around the corner...lol)

How was your 5:2 day today?

Sarah, if I can add any help to Sheryl's advice please shout - didn't have the lower body lift so she is defo the one for that... Good luck and look forward to a whirl wind ride - but I can guarantee that it is all so very worth it! My TT and BL defo changed my life for the better; physically and mentally. Kim, your dog sounds almost human - love the peeing story. It is great having a pet isn't it! And you are right about the pesky scale - they continue to taunt me and haunt me...lol... I am, once again, bouncing around the place. Had a real good fast day Tues, but today has gone a bit silly - never mind! Denise, I love dancing too... especially in the pub! But unfortunately, I am not that good at it... but who cares! We are taking Betty and 3 of her friends to Wembley Stadium tomorrow to see One Direction - it is gonna be an adventure for sure... and they are soooo looking forward to it! Not sure what Steve and I are going to do whilst they watch the concert - but as we are in and around London we might just take advantage and so some sight seeing? I suppose it will depend in timing but we will defo get some food out! No fast day tomo - haha!

How was your 5:2 day today?

I have to say - I ain't one for drama either! Of any kind - I rather like a calm sea these days... Sorry I haven't updated for a few days... have been reading though! Gotta say, I agree with you ladies when it comes to men and food- my hubby is defo a foody and loves to eat... I am so thankful that he is doing the 5:2 with me, not only to help his health but also for the support! I honestly thought I was going to reach goal... saw a new low on Friday and then bounced right back up Sat... gutted! Had a let lose weekend,.. not fasting and no worrying but didn't go over board - had to fight that 'what is the point? balls to it' and eat my weight in choc! At least I am holding at the bottom end of my bounce. Tried to fast Monday and that ended in an epic fail! Had a tough day in work and wasn't in the right frame of mind. Been better today and got a fairly good fast in - a little over 500 cals but calling it good. I am really hoping that the new low wasn't a fluke and that I see the number again and it sticks... that would make me happy and determined to have a go at my ultimate goal! How is everyone else doing?

How was your 5:2 day today?

Protein wasn't a focus when I was first sleeved - my surgeon just wanted me to eat 3 healthy meals a day. I generally follow the protein rule though; especially when I am training. Yesterday I just wanted something warm and filling and jacket spud with baked beans hit the spot. I generally eat protein daily in the form of either chicken, pork, bacon (sometimes ham), quorn and eggs as my main sources... of course it comes in many forms! Not fasting per se today... but I skipped lunch due to being in work longer than I expected! Will have a nice tea tonight though, not sure what yet! Scale was kind this morning 1 1/2lbs from my lowest... fingers crossed this will continue! =]

How was your 5:2 day today?

end of fast day no 2 this week - didn't do the soup; I needed to chew so I had a small jacket potatoe and some baked beans... I did have a little bit of grated cheese, so including the crackers I ate through the day I prob went over 500 - but not by much so I am bagging it as a good day! Although we have a week off work at the moment, I am going into school tomo to do some admin and I might stay to do some marking - I will see how I feel! It is rainy and cold here, so different from this time last year! I am hoping the weather will change so I can sit in the garden to mark some work and get some lovely sunshine! Need a tan...lol

http://plymouth.tab.co.uk/2014/05/08/lost-in-translation-prepare-yourself-for-the-welsh/ thought my international friends might like this! Florinda, do you mind me asking what is M5? Good luck with the meds, let us know how you get on with them... and good luck with the road trip... hugs x Uk10 is too small for me at the moment *sad face* but it is my new size goal!

How was your 5:2 day today?

C'mon Brown - let's do it! Second fast for me this week and I am a little hungry - just had a few crackers and now sipping a cuppa. It has gone colder here so I am going to make my butternut squash soup for tea! Warm and filling. I'll 'try' and get another fast in Friday, and hopefully it will be more successful than last week...lol!

How was your 5:2 day today?

Sheryl, sounds like you two are having fun - nice to hear... enjoy it! Well, weighed this morning - a pound from my lowest and 2 from my surgeon's goal... I can almost taste it again! Weirdly most of my clothes are now UK12s; even bought myself a denim jacket that size and it looks great! My surgeon originally wanted me in a 12 regardless of weight... so I suppose that goal is good now! But I would like to finish at a UK10- 12 and I think another 14- 18lbs would do that. Fasting today.... happy days! Anyone else joining me?

How was your 5:2 day today?

Well, Friday's fast didn't happen - did really well through the day and then the kids wanted junk for tea and I had some with them - I can so relate to you Denise; it is hard when you are around people who love to eat! So, Saturday I was a little more careful and Sunday did well on the food front but went out for drinkies in the evening, so no fast over the weekend. Today however, back on track and I've done a good solid fast ... yes! The scale is now mid bounce for me, so it is coming down a little. I don't mind a little as long as it moves down. FLorinda, meant to reply before now... just didn't know how to word it - I don't blame you for having a good sob after you saw your doctor. Sometimes I feel that the gut wrenching kinda cry is so cleansing. And on the topic of skin removal - I would get the arms done as soon as you can and wait until you've decided on a family for the mid section, Brown that play sounds amazing! Good luck and let us know how it is going... Good to see us back on track and getting some fast days done... I think for me, the longer I can go without eating on a fast day the better... my next will be Wednesday! Hugs to you all

How was your 5:2 day today?

So my second fast day is coming to an end... smashed it again! Didn't have lunch so I went from 10 pm to 4pm without chewing,,, yey! I had two crackers at 4pm cos I mentally needed a crunch, then porridge with low fat/cal pro biotic yogurt for tea at 9pm. Tis my son's 14th birthday tomo, so more cake - I will have a small piece but I ain't going mad...lol! Don't want to undo the good work of the last two fasts. Gonna do another fast friday! anyone else fasting?

How was your 5:2 day today?

Sheryl, I've been meaning to ask about the arm lift... if it was a stand alone procedure, how long do you think recovery would be? Time off work etc? If and when I could afford it... I would love to get it done! It would make such a difference to my overall silhouette! Even with the extra weight I've still got.

How was your 5:2 day today?

fast day completed... I didn't chew anything til 7pm, which means I went 23 hrs without eating! That is a real achievement for me and it wasn't that bad! I did have a few cuppas though, and some herbal teas... the hot drinks really helps! I am gonna go 4:3 this week; today weds and thurs... it is my mam's birthday tue and my son's birthday thurs so they will be fuelled with cake and junk food.... hoping the 4:3 will counter act this! Possibly going out for a few bevvies sunday too.. such a mixed week food wise for me! We have another week in work and then we break up for a week and in that week I have promised myself that I will go back to Curves. By mid June my work load should have decreased too! That will allow me more time for me!

How was your 5:2 day today?

my fast went ok friday - went over 500 but under 800 so I am claiming it! on another note, sorted out my summer wardrobe; put woolies away and got out my linen trousers from last year - the size UK14 are way to big - they have to be recycled! As I was doing this I found a skirt I wore for my 21 birthday and for a laugh I tried it on... well bloody hell fire - it fits! Ok, it is tight around the waist and I probably wouldn't be able to wear it for long.. but I can do the button and the zip up to the top! How happy am I? NSV claimed right there!
