    Chin Hair and Weight Loss?

Hey, I don't have a lot of chin hair, but I do have more than I should...lol... I haven't noticed a significant change at the moment. The hair on my head however, is coming out in handfuls!! I was sleeved beg July btw!!! =]
  2. Hey Globetrotter...

I have read your post again, and I really hope you are ok. I truly understand how frustrated you feel as I feel the same for similar reasons.

I hope things start to look up and those scales go down really soon for you... take care xx

    Body image changes after WLS

I agree with Chilo on this one... orginally I was thinking of about 135lb ... but things in my mind are changing: a, the rate I am going I will be about 80 before I reach that goal ... lol ... and b, I don't want to look too old... my face seems to be the main place that I have lost weight from!! I would also be happier with a higher BMI and a TT and boob job, not sure I will afford it in this life though, I already have a lot of problem skin around my middle! I suppose I shouldn't be sooooo short...lol! x
  5. Hey Ange,

THANK YOU sooooo much for your message... you really hit the nail on the head! I have gotta get my head back into positive mode cos I really don't want to let my 'boy' down, can't stand the thought of him seeing me as a fatty again!!

WOW hasn't the time gone quick... good luck for the 7th,. not that you'll need it! And how good ...

  6. Hey Jenchap... if it ever becomes a reality I will defo post a pic...lol =]

    Exercising with the WII

Hey Ellie, 2 weeks... how are you feeling so far? I used my WII for the first couple of months, until I felt strong enough to go out and about...lol I mainly did low impact stuff on there, so the marching and walking ones were good for me... be careful though, not to do anything that will put a strain on the stomach muscles... check with your surgeon about when you can exercise the tummy area... Good Luck!

    Is it me or ….

yep same here, I too get cold easily, whereas before surgery I didn't! And I have had a 'cold' moreoften too... think the body needs longer that I realised to adjust. I don't get the stuffy nose though... in the early days I used to get hicups... but nothing now!
  9. . I noticed that you haven't been updating you food diary, I had stopped but started again a few days ago. Has the snow got to you yet?? We have loads, my exercise for the last few days has been shovelling snow and playing out with the girls! DO NOT GIVE UP!!!! Hey Chilo, I stopped tracking as soon as I could see that my main routine was good and hitting where I wanted it to be... I also stopped 'cos I get really obessive with stuff like that and that was one of the reasons I had the sleeve, is not to be obessive...hahahahaaa... and look at me now... moaning and groaning!!! We haven't had much snow, yet, but I am sure it will come over eventually!!! Thanks for all your kind words everyone... I really expected to have a few kicks up my ass... and I appreciate the kindness instead of the kicks... needless to say I will kick myself instead...lol I am still feeling a little down, and gibing myself time for this to ride out naturally instead of making myself feel better... if that makes sense! But I am sure that this cloud will pass over soon... once again... THANK YOU ALL x

    Where my girls at???

Hey Diva, I feel your pain ... mine sound similar to Tiff's and I ain't even half way to goal yet... booo hooo... I am also thinking about getting 'the job' and I would like a TT at some point... just the cost is soooo expensive here!!! Looks like the wonderbra will have to stay for a while longer!
  11. I had those dreams and still do!!! I have a reoccuring dream, where I am always wearing the same outfit...a nice pair of jeans, with a skinny shirt - tucked in - and a pair of leather boots - to the calf and zipped up all the way - lets hope that our dreams come true!

Oh no, Oh no no no no no

Hiya globetrotter... I am in a similar position to you and I understand how frustrating it is. My weight loss isn't 'amazing' (it is good for me and there is a part of me that feels guilty when I complain) but I also think that I should have lost more too. I was sleeved 3rd July and was hoping to be at least 168 for christmas, but that doesn't look like it will happen now! I had pneumonia in Oct and since then my body has been cruel to me,,, I gained a load! Managed to lose it plus another 3lb and that is it... I have tried all the stuff you have mentioned and am starting to feel down about it now too. I am trying to stay positive but it is hard... and I 'feel' fat again... weird? I also find it hard not to compare my self with others on here who have lost a lot more than me... and who are of similar stats to me... I suppose we just have to keep going and fight our cruel bodies all the way to slimville!
  16. yep, me too... I have really fine hair and it is just getting finer and finer... starting to show a little too... funny thing is that, it is only fine around the top area, sides and back are as normal... similar area to where a man goes thin first... I know it is only temp, but I don't like it at all... getting a trim tomorrow, so hopefully a nice shape will make it look better! Another thing that is weird though is the fact that is it in excellent condition... really shiny and seems stronger even though there is a lot less... does that make sense????
  17. Hey, I am a slow loser ... and yes, it is frustrating,,, BUT Congrats on your weight loss to date! Someone once said to me, 'just think of the weight you could have put on!' I keep that close to me when I have no weekly loss or really slow loss! Have you tried to increase you fluids, water etc... I find that helps when things stop moving. I also agree with Blackberryjuice... change the exercise up too. Don't worry too much though, you will lose it... chin up and let us know how you get on =]
  18. Wow, I think we discovered these alien bones at the same time... I forgot I had ribs!! =]
  19. Hey Chilo...

All good here... had the all clear to go to the gym and I have to say I am enjoying it again! Went swimming for the first time in years last week too... that was fab!

So, off track eh...lol... was that cos of your visitors... you'll be fine... we all need a lil break from time to time!

    Speak soon xx

    In the swim

Just thought I would share this little bit of excitment! I have set myself little mini goals along my weight loss journey, things that will keep me motivated... and swimming is on the list. I am now under 14 stone (194) so my next little goal was to go swimming. Just over two years ago I started taking the kids swimming with my husband; I even bought a new swimming costume ( unfortunately itwas too small for me!!!! but I kept it anyway) ... I went a several times and each time I would start to get little panic attacks! I would get sweats, palpitations, and need the toilet!!! I thought that this reaction completely outweighed the benefit of the exercise and I stopped going. So, yesterday, my son asked when we were going to go swimming again. I tried the swimming costume on and it was a perfect fit... and ok, there is still plenty of weight to come off, but I have to say, it didn't look as bad as I expected! To cut a long story short... I put the costume on and kept it on and took the kids swimming. It was amazing to be back in the pool with them and my husband! We had a lovely time and I managed to get some really good exercise out of it too! These little NSV are sooooo important to me!

    Updates

Hey Ladies... Greetings from sunny Wales!!! I was sleeved 3rd July... and am doing ok, pleased with my weight loss so far... mind compared to you Bella I am ashamed...lol! I agree with your comments on how life changing this is! Getting compliments is something I was never used to or took well, but now I sorta believe people when they say how nice I look or how healthy I look because for the first time in my life I am starting to feel good and believe in myself. There are sooooo many little things that only us, who have been obese, understand ... little things like wearing my engagment ring and my wedding ring all day... wearing high heeled shoes to work... going to the gym and not crying on the way home because my groin is on fire and my shin splints are hurting! My 10 year old son being able to put his arms around me and for his hand to touch... that was a NSV that had me in tears...lol. The list goes on!! I suppose, I feel in control of things are last, and that alone is an amazing feeling. Although, I am not even half way to goal, I already feel so much better, younger and fitter... I started at a 24/22 and am now comfortable in an 18 (nearly in that elusive 16!!!) Lets keep each other going ... =]
  25. Oh fair play ... I agree with all the comments, you look amazing... I love your hair (did you have any probs with hair loss cos mine is getting finer and finer)! You are defo an inspiration to me... just what I needed ... Thank you and congratulations =]
