Hey Chilo, Ain't this side of the sleeve pants... I am sorry to say that mine is the same... and it is freaking me out too... I've had it cut shorter to try and hide how fine it is! I can see my scalp and my parting is getting wider and wider! Not sure what we can do about it to be honest... I eat more than 40g of protein a day and it is happening to me too... I really don't know what to suggest! Chin up and when you are feeling a little low... just go and put a small pair of jeans on!!! xx

I lost a POUND this week... for the love of God what am I doing wrong.... grrrrrr!!! I hope things will pick up and I lose a little more next week!! x -
yep, us girls are weird creatures... I have already been told not to lose much more weight... I ain't even half way to goal !!! As if I want to stop now... I really don't know what people are going to say when I do get smaller, I suppose I will have to be prepared for it as much as I can. I am waiting for, what my husband calls, 'a sh*t sandwich' a compliment that isn't really a compliment... along the lines of ' oh wow you look great have you lost weight?' followed by 'really i thought you were older than that!' ... you know what i mean... something really nice and then something that is really nasty that leaves you thinking... hang on, what happened there!

The good thing about being a slow loser
coops replied to coops's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree ladies, Chilo, I get compliments on my face too...lol... weird but who cares, a compliment is a compliment as far as I am concerned these days!!! -
Hey Kathy, Firstly, congrats on your weight loss to date.. You are doing really well and the weight you have lost has gone forever. Please don't compare yourself to others... I too had the reg sleeve beg of July and I have 'only' lost 44lb, so compare to your friends weight loss of 46 that is rubbish... However, for me that is amazing as before this amazing tool I couldn't lose 7lb. I am starting to look at this in a different way... I am a slow loser and I have come to realise that this is good... basically cos I am losing and not gaining! If it takes me year from today to lose the remaining excess weight, I have to accept that! At least now I know it has gone for good... Keep your chin up and I am sure you will see results soon. =]

Like, Like, Like ... I like this a lot... well done you and I bet you were walking on air... plus a free shirt to boot.... NICE!!!! x

Unfortunately, the measurements haven't changed... the boots are new, what I meant was that I have never been able to buy a pair off the shelf and zip em up to the top... normally there is an inch or two left unzipped and a pair of trousers or jeans covering it!! My boots that are currently in my wardrobe still don't fit up...boooo hooooo... but I have a new pair now...YEY!! =] -

Interesting update for me... I was told that I looked small and narrow by a friend the other day, at first I thought it was just words of kindness cos of this damn stall - yes I was bleating on about it to my friends too! Anyway, she compared me to her sister, who has ALWAYS been smaller than me...ALWAYS!! i sat there and didn't believe a word of it and in the end the actually measured us....lol.... I was a good 3 inches narrower!!! I was absloutely gob smacked! My own body image is really distorted and I think I need to work on this too... It is interesting to hear others say that it has taken a while for the head to catch up with the body, I am starting to understand that a little now! -
I love it... your Mam not recognising you is bloody brilliant... don't know whether to say 'lucky' or unlucky' ...lol... but defo a NSV!!!

8 wks post op today & so discouraged
coops replied to keeepitreal24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey,,, 30lb in 8 weeks is fantastic!!!! Please don't compare yourself to others... I made that mistake and it was really discouraging! Everyone is different - thankfully- and we all do this in different ways... Some low carb and lose, some eat carb and lose etc. It really is a waste of time and energy looking at others weight loss. Just remember the last time you lost 30lb in 8 weeks... have you done that before because I know I haven't!! and besides which, look at it like this... it is 30lb you will never see again in 30 years!! As far as the stall goes... this is completely normal as most of us go through it... and again, yes it is frustrating. I am in the middle of one two and I am 5 mths out! Remember at 8 weeks you are at the end of the healing process and the stall is just your bodies way of taking some 'time out' and readjustng... it will come off again! Chin up and keep us posted x -
Are there any SIZE Goal sleevers out there?
coops replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Diva, we are defo on the same page... I too seem to weigh a lot heavier that others in my size... I put it down to having a lot of muscle...lol!!! NOT! I haven't really thought of a 'goal' size until now and I think it will be a size 12 UK for me in tops and bottoms... I am already down from a UK 22/24 to a UK 18... so if that is the case I am half way there....YEY!! =] -
THE STALL HAS BEEN BROKEN!!!
coops replied to sickofrollercoaster's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
OMG... Angie... you look absolutely fabulous!!!! Stunning dress, I would be posting this too!! i am in the middle of a stupid stall and it is getting me down, I am trying to be positive but it is difficult, espeically as I ain't even half way to goal yet... so, to see a post like yours gives me hope and inspiration cos I want that dress...lol WELL DONE!! =] -
Please talk some sense into me...
coops replied to coops's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey all thought I would give a quick up date... On my offical weigh day, I weighed the same, no loss , no gain... my measurements were to same too... so I guess my stall is still with me. What I have no come to accept, again, is that these stalls are par for the course with me (and many others) and it is something that I am just gonna have to get used to. I HAVE to get to my goal weight, I HAVE to do this... the whole reason for spending the money and having major surgery is to get fit and have a longer and healthier life. I suppose I have to accept that this is going to take a long time... but I will get there. I think that the stall might be hormonal... my cycle is a mess, both before and after surgery... I am going to monitor it and if I need to I will go see my doc. ANY HOW... I thought I would share a NSV with you all...on the weekend I bought a pair of calf length boots.... OMG... I could put them on and DO THE ZIP ALL THE WAY UP TO THE TOP... I haven't been able to do that for nearly 20 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dances hysterically around the room8 This means, that I can now wear them with a skirt or dress... Check me out ...lol I really don't understand my body and how it works, but I love my new boots... =] -
Globetrotter.... YEY... GOOD FOR YOU I know I don't lose weight if I don't eat enough... I am hoping my stall will soon pass too!!! x
-
Hey Globetrotter... Let us know how you get on... I too am still in a stall and it is mega frustrating, so I am interested in your story too x

"You're losing too much too fast!"
coops replied to LilMissDiva Irene's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hey Diva, I, too, wish that I was losing fast... so try not to worry about it, and if possible enjoy it!!!! When peeps have asked me how much more weight I want to lose, I have told them the truth... that is when I get the 'OMG, that is way too much' and 'OMG, you;ll be too thing and look awful'! Yea, people are already making judgements on a weight that I haven't even achieved yet!!! If they are being genunine, then, I feel that is good... just reassure them as the posts above has suggested... but don't stop doing what you are doing...!! Hugs x -
