  1. LOL I just sent my hubby a racy pic also. Didnt look to shabby either, if I do say so myself... I went to victoria secrets and had a little bit of fun in there. If it wasnt for my old lady thighs, I might not look to bad lol
  2. I was sick and tired of trying fit into bathrooms stalls. omg some of those were small !! lol
  3. My son just got diagnosed with an inflamed heart sac. Its where the muscle around his heart is inflamed. The first sympton was a very sharp pain when he inhaled. Just a thought to maybe have them check for. good luck. I hope u feel better.
  4. I live in denver and have been shoveling for days and gained!!! whats up with that??? lol. who is going to be your surgeon? I had dr snyder. wear ypur shoes. the insurance company wont know lol
  5. You Look HOT!!! way to go! I read your profile and its still amazing thinking back at how it was just a year ago. I feel you pain and joy! I see you are under the 20 mark as well. It seems like the last 20 will go soooo slow! good luck to you. You look amazing!
  6. I think that has been one of the hardest things to get used to is wraping my head around the fact that I actually lost weight. Normally when I lost weight, I was on a "diet" and it took forever and I was always starving and I would only lose about 20 lbs or so. But when I lost the weight, it felt like it because I guess i thought I worked really hard. But this has been "kinda" easy in the fact that I just have to eat to work with the band and I am really not that hungry at all. So when I try to wrap my head around that I have lost 60+ pounds, sometimes it doesnt seem possible. I look in the mirror and I say wow, I actually did it. Not sure if that makes sense or not Im sure you hubby is right when he says he can tell a difference even if you cant yet Congrats and take some more pics
  7. Yes, normal!. You will be amazed at what sounds you will be hearing from your body now.... They get to be pretty funny at times. The hiccups didnt last very long for me. Now when I am full I just tend to burb a little. Or I gurggle. Sometimes I gurggle really loud and other people will hear it. Sometimes embarrising like when you are getting a massage and are in a really quite room
  8. What does the pain feel like? Where is it at? If its between your breast bone, it could be that you irritated something right above your stomach. If its lower, you might have eaten to much and it needs to digest. I ate way to much once and got this awful pain just below my breast bone that lasted several hours. Either way, I would keep to liquids until you can get into the doctor if it keeps hurting. If you cant keep liquids down, I would go to the ER right away. Does your doctor have an after hours number you can try? goodluck!
  9. I remember the day before surgery. The headache and everything!!!! My solution. Go to bed. If anything else than to just relax and not think about food and surgery and what ever else there is. Goodluck tomorrow. I goes by really fast and you will be home before you know it.
  10. Welcome Back! It is good to hear that you have made it so long with your band and had very few problems. It does seem that people get down to their goal and leave to live their new lives. congrats to you!!!
  11. Does it have a gurrgling sound? If so, this is food or drink just sliding past the band. Ive never really had reflux, so not sure about that...
  12. Awsome!!! LOVE fitting into a new size!!!!
  13. I do not miss over stuffing myself. I have only made myself really uncomfortable once since surgery and I dont want to do that again. I do not miss what I use to do to myself on a daily basis. I have made the commitment to work with the band. There are days when I do slider foods, but I dont stuff myself with them. The band still tells me when I have had enough. I cant say if there are people out there that have band rejections or if they just didnt use it properly. I think most cases go towards not using it properly. If my Doctor came out and said that 50% of his patients regain the weight, I would have gone somewhere else right away. He seems to be in it to make money and not to help patients. At my doctors office, you have to go in a certain amount of times the first year and then as much as you want after that, but at least once a year for life. Please consider looking for a new doctor to help you!
  14. thank you all! Yes the lapband works! I have now lost about 80% of my excess weight. I hope to be close to the 100% by my bandiversary in april. But if not, I feel awsome anyway... AND I would NOT be here if not for this lapband. love it thanks again for your nice comments!!!
  15. Thanks! You guys are doing awsome. I didnt think I wanted to take pics ongoing, but it does seem to help with the progression. Even the first 25 I could see a difference in my face and other parts as well. I still have 18 lbs to go and Im sure that it will be a big difference again. Good Luck to you both.
  16. No Way! I just updated my profile pics and when i look at that I DO NOT REGRET AT ALL!!!
  17. I like this new layout. It seems to be easier to update pics and such. I added some new pics of my progress. I lost the original ones that I did when i was first banded which is a bummer (didnt download them from my phone and lost my phone). So the progress pics are from about two months out and I was already down about 27 lbs. But you can see the before pic on the profile page and that was taken on October of 2010. I look back now and everyone that see it says that they cant beleive I was ever that big. Its amazing how much you can change in a year (or less). Come check out my pics

  20. I still have some of those patches that you put behind your ear to prevent nausia, wonder if I should put that on???
  21. My hubby hovers around 200 or so, so I passed him back in August. But it was a GREAT feeling. I am now lower than my 18 year old and I am slowly getting to my 16 year old (both boys). I am thinking that if my 16 year old keeps growing and I keep losing it will help us both out!!! LOL I dont think I will try to catch my 7 year old. Congrats!
  22. There is a rampant case of stomach flu going around our school and I am so afraid of getting it. My stomach feels a little quezy, but not sure if that is just me thinking to much! Has anyone had a case of the stomach flu and survived without getting an unfill? I am wondering if I should get an unfill as a precaution?!? In the past I have been able to "talk" myself out of throwing up, but I wonder if that will work now. Uggg, I dont want this! But I guess I am going to get at some point in time that I have my band. I was just hoping to make it to goal before that happened.
  23. Thanks! I needed to hear that I just need to stick with it and keep moving forward. I started journeling again and im really gonna try to get back in the gym on a regular basis. Back to the basics!!
  24. We are getting close to the year mark! Two or so months!! Just checking to see how everyone is doing. I havent been on the site as much as I have wanted to since the Holidays, but I finally broke a little goal, so I thought I would really start getting things going again and check in here and get some motivation! I finally got out of the 180's. Today was 179.5. I dont know how that has been possible with what I have been eating and not going to the gym on a regular basis, but I guess I will take what I can get. My bad thing at the moment: I have been on this kick of getting 2 chocolate chip Cookies from McDonalds (yum) almost on a daily basis. But I am still right around 1100 to 1200 calories a day, so I guess that is what has been helping me. I have not been following the lapband diet at all. I have foods that I am unable to eat and stay away from those, but I mostly just eat what I want but can still only eat about a cup or two at a time still. So I think I am at my green zone. But I would like to drop this last 20 and so I think I will utilize my green zone better and get back on the recommended diet and stop with the cookie thing!!!!! Please let me know how you are doing and any obsticles that you are facing a year out! Maybe someone is at goal!!! that would be nice to hear!!
