  1. I put on a pair of pj bottoms tonight that i havent worn in awhile. And its a good thing that they have a tie string!!! They are huge on me now Before my thighs would be kinda tight in them, now they look like they are goucho pants . I have it in my mind that I will have to go and out and buy regular clothes, but I seem to have forgotten that I will need to buy pj's, underware, bra's and a whole bunch of stuff once I get to the point where they just wont stay up any longer (even with a draw string) There are a few pair of my pj's that I will be extremely bummed about because they are so comfy now that they are worn in
  2. This is so normal! I think 99 percent of banders go thru this. Dont worry, if you stick with the program and eat how you are suppose to eat, it will start to work for you! It is a slow process! Keep your chin up and stick with it!!!
  3. Dont do it!!! You can do this!. You just went thru surgery to help you thru this journey. That is a huge step to take, dont ruin so soon. Keep with the program and give the band time to do its thing. We all know that the first couple of weeks or even months are going to be about willpower. But if you can make it thru that and then you can start to rely on the band a little bit more. But it will only work if you work with it. K - speach is over! LOL Good luck
  4. My port area is right next to my belly button, and I have noticed that if I sit for a long period, it starts to get very tender and sore. It is located right where I bend over and granted I dont have the need to sit alot during the day. I went to a meeting for my son's football team tonight and we had to sit down for about 2 hours and it really started to get sore, so much so that I had to stand for awhile. Does anyone else have this feeling? I am over 3 months post op, so not sure how long this might be tender for or if this is going to be the new norm. ?!? Thanks!
  5. That is the one area where I dont think I am losing enough of. It seems that my arms seem to be still kinda big to what I am losing in other areas. I think I need to work them out a little bit more. I have the Batwings happening as well. But I think they run in my family, I remember my grandma having them as well. LOL I think this might be something that we just have to accept about ourselves or work like heck to try to get them to trim down.
  6. Im down 38 with 39 to go, so im pretty much 1/2 way there. It is funny how it just hits you some times of how much you really have lost. I have little mini goals and I am only 3 lbs from of 196 by august 1st. But if I continue at the rate im going, im still gonna make my goal by thanksgiving. Congrats on your weight loss!!!
  7. After playing around at 200.6 - 201 for the last two weeks I finally hit Onederland for the past three days in a row (so I think im oficially there) My next official goal is to be at a 14 by the end of the summer and then a size 10 by thanksgiving. Still havent decided if I want to go past that or not. Will have to see how I feel when I get there
  8. Name, real or screen~ Hopetolose Age~ 45 on August 26 Weight on August 1st~ 199.8 on July 30th Goal Weight for August 29th~ 185 Exercise Goal for August~ To exercise 5 days a week Dietary Goal for August~ To drink more water instead of cystral lite Personal Goal for August~ to be in a size 14 comfortably Date Banded~ 4/14/11 Total Weight Loss Since Banding~ 37 on my scale (40 on doctors scale ?!?)
  9. I usually cant drink during meals as it will get stuck or go down slower if I do, so I usually wait 20 -30 minutes after.
  10. Yeaaah smaller sizes! booo bad hair! But... youll be rocking those wigs in your smaller little self
  11. I went for an unfill today because over the past week I have been getting tighter and tighter. I am feeling much better. I had some soft mushies tonight and I can already tell a difference. They took my weight there and they said I am down 40 lbs. which I like alot. Their scale was reading the same as mine was at home (but mine was first thing in the morning and with just a tshirt on). So I am wondering if my scale is off??? Its a digital and gives body fat also, so its kind of a nice one. I just dont know, the doctors office is always 3-5 higher than mine.
  12. I call mine "baby foot" because I have always been able to feel it next to my belly button and it feels like a baby foot. sometimes when I bend over it will poke me. so it acts like a baby foot sometimes to.
  13. im at the doctors right now getting an unfill. I was the same way as you and it is getting tighter each day. I have thrown up twice this week. So I am going to have her take out .20 and see if that makes a difference. I think u should go in and have a tiny bit removed.
  14. This is the bandster hell part! This is where you will need to go off will power until you get your fills working for you!!! I had pretty good restriction from my surgery until after my first fill, but then on my second fill she only put in .20 and I could eat pretty much anything for the next two weeks. I went in for another fill and I am pretty good right now (if not a little bit tight). But you have to stick with it no matter how hard it gets. It will get better as you get your fills. Good Luck!
  15. I am just getting out of my 18's. Let me know if you would like some. Do you need bottoms or tops also? Alot of my stuff is from J Jill, and is mostly casual stuff.
  16. Congrats! I hate shopping as well. Not only the trying on but the looking for something. I have to have an idea in my mind as to what I want otherwise I go crazy. Maybe that will change once I have a good feeling about clothes again.
  17. I am hoping that I am at goal or close to goal in November! My step-mom and sisters have a girls shopping weekend in New York every year. So I am hoping that I can save up and really go to town on a new wardrobe there!!! I am hoping to be at a 14 by the end of the summer and a 12 r 10 by November. I think my end goal will be a 10, but I would be really happy with a 12. 20 Years ago I was a 10-12 and I thought I looked pretty hot! of course that was 20 years ago! lol
  18. I was banded on 4/14/11 and have lost 36 lbs total.
  19. Doodle, we have about the same starting weight and ending weight. My initial goal is 160, but I might try for 155-150 depending on how I am feeling and looking. Thanks for the encouragement. I know I will get there! Its just this is the first really big goal to be under 200. I think after that it will be fine and dandy to get to the other goals when they happen. I am just so happy to be this far at all. I havent been this far for at least 10 years, so I am happy with whatever I can get from here on out!!!!!
  20. I am sooooo close to onederland. I had a big loss after my fill but have been playing around with the same pound for the last two weeks. ugggg I just wish I could lose a pound so I could at least get to onderland
  21. the big question is, would u have lost this on any other diet and would u be able to continue like u would with the band??? You need to explain to your "friends" that this is NOT gastric bypass. You will lose at a normal healthy loss. You are averaging 3 lbs a week, what were they expecting??? Keep up the great work!!!
  22. I actually pulled my 18 sized pants off without unbuttoning them yesterday I can fit in 16's pretty good right now and almost to a 14 that will be tight for awhile. I really need to get rid of my 18's because they are of no use to me anymore. They are annoying to wear. I guess we need to look at this as a GOOD thing! Congrats to all of you
  23. I think we will have to join you guys. I dont know how to make the spreadsheet so that everyone can enter their information. I think it is done thru google. MollyRN started the last one. Maybe if she reads this she can forward it on to us or start one.
