  1. Weird I know but the last few months I have had very high blood pressure and very low potassium. Anyone else have this problem?
  2.    Holly Dolly reacted to a post in a topic: Need To Get Back On Track.
  3. I know! Depression really plays a huge part of your overall health and I think if I could just get out of this rut I could lose again. At least you are going to the gym. I might get another fill this next week and see if it helps. Thanks for responding. I don't want to be a Debbir downer but I don't know anyone who has had the band done so it help to talk.
  4. I was banded on July 5,2011. I have lost 38 lbs total. I have recently lost my job and suffer from depression anyway. My question is what steps have others taken to get back on track? Do I go back to liquids or mushes? I have 4.5 in my band and feel some restriction but man does the bad food go down easy!! When I eat what I am supposed to I can't eat much but sometimes I just need to eat and will grab "bad" food. It is so frustrating!! I also am having a hard time getting motivated to exercise. Thanks for any suggestions. I don't usually post but am very worried that I will never lose this weight.
  5. I was banded 22 days ago and with presurgery diet I had lost 21 lbs but the last week I have put back on 4 lbs. I can eat ANYTHING!! Then I forgot about the no fluids after eating and I think that is also causing problems. I go in for my first fill on the 3rd of August. I went back to work this week and the stress eating is really trying to take over. Any suggestions from anyone? Is this kind of normal? I am getting pretty discouraged. Thanks for listening.
  6. WAY TO GO!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope I am there soon.
  7. Thanks for this post. Exwecising is my hardest thing. I have time but not the motivation. I am 1 week post-op and plan on starting in a week or so. Any suggestions or encouragement are greatly appreciated.
  8. I am one week postop and still have significant bloating. Generally how long will this last?
  9. My discharge instructions say I can't use a straw. Anyone know why?
  10. Good luck to you, I am being banded on the 5th. I am new to this site and am wondering how to follow someone on thier journey without having to see all the posts. Do you know?
  11. But isn't "whey" milk based?
  12. Is anyone out there allergic to milk? I have been drinking the whey protein drinks and they upset my stomach and make me very gassy. Is it because of the whey? Is there another drink out there that tastes good? I am having surgery on 6/6 and am trying to get prepared for my 10 day preop diet. Thanks for any suggestions.
