    FAVORITE PROTEIN DRINK AND BAR

I like Pure Protein (Choc Peanut Butter, 20G @ 200 cal) & EAS Carb Control shake (Chocolate, 17G @ 110 cal). Get them at BJ's wholesale, best bang for the buck & calories.

'Sup dudes. Any car guys here?

I've got a 1965 Dodge Coronet (post car). Just a Mopar 360 crate motor w/904 reverse manual valve body. Fun around town and also bracket race with it (low-13's). Hey, I hear that every 100lbs you shave off equals 1/10th second!.... http://www.440magnum...e-coronet.shtml

    Personality change

(based on my own experiences so far....) Not to worry, your outlook will change and you'll become more positive about things. You'll still be you - It's all good!

    How Many Guys Getting Banded?

Same here, my only regret is not doing this sooner (in my 30's).

    Pigging Out

I did my 'goodbye tour' the last few days before going on my pre-op liquid diet. Wendy's french fries of all things. Confided to my Nutritionist and she said it's quite common. she called it 'Last Supper' syndrome.

    Honesty

Personally, this is MY journey. Folks I've told are on a 'need to know' basis. I do a pretty good job of judging myself and do not need it from others who have no skin in the game. Sorry but thier opinions don't count unless they're walking in my shoes.

    Progress Pictures

I have enough of those damn 'before' pictures of me around the house. I did however hang onto a pair of pants I wore at my high point. It's cool every so often to try them on and see how far you've come.

    Ignorant people

Not much you can say because they're uninformed. Personally I don't engage. It's not about them, it's about you!
  9. hi, I was banded just over 3 weeks ago. So far I am satistied with my decision to go through with this and very motivated to succeed. Like you and many others I struggled with my decision pre-op for same reasons & rationale. I had about 8 mos to think about it while I waited for my insurance company to grant approval and get my surgery date. During this time period I was all over the map with these questions too. I am not sure what your wieght loss track record has been but I've gone up and down the scale several times. Finally it was obvious to me I needed to do something different. Personally I summed it up this way referring to a famous quote - "The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results" - Albert Einstein. Good luck!
