Couple of things: 1) The billed amount is never/rarely what the collected amount is, so determine what amount the 10% is -- the billed or reimbursed amount? 2) The anesthesiologist will bill out at around $1500 but will be reimbursed/paid anywhere from $550-900. Insurance...it's a screwy system and the physicians have zero control over setting a price for their services, hence the "bill high because insurance reimburses low" method of billing. 3) I practiced at the Marina and have worked w/Dr. Madan for these cases; I have a high regard for his skill. He also works at local surgi-centers, where I am now. FlynnMD Hello, I was just wondering if anyone had their surgery at Marina Del Rey Hospital in California.
