  1. Happy 28th Birthday Lyl!

  2. I had a breech baby, but I didn't have the band at the time. My daughter would not turn so they did a C-section the same day. I felt so nasious, not sure if it was from the meds or the pushin gon my belly, but I was very happy to finally have my baby girl. Good luck with your procedure, even though I believe it has already passed, let us know what happened!

    Lost the Baby :(

Although I did not have my band, I did have a miscairraige(is that how you spell it?) and an early birth at 20 wks and 5 days in which the baby did not make it because she was underdeveloped. It sure does suck, but just remember to keep up with your positive attitude. For me it helps to have a momento of some kind to remember them by. The hospital I was at gave us a keepsake box of her feet prints and such. Good luck in the future, I am sure things will go well for you!

  10. Don't worry, be happy... AND DON"T GIVE UP!

  11. Hi everyone, I sort new to this thread, but I did have my surgery on Aug 16 of last year. I went from 263 to 190 and I am trying to lose 5 more by my one year mark so I can reward myself with some ZUMBA PANTS! I am excited, but haven't been doing so well these last couple days overeating. I am determined though so wish me luck! I am glad to see everyone is doing well and happy one year mark! (yes, I am trying not to follow the trend lol)
  12. I had my surgery in August 2010 and I had my first fill in february 2011. I still am on that one fill, so it really depends on the person. I lost about 60 pounds with no fill, so keep that hope alive!

    Feeling fat!

Yes, I believe I felt this way too. In fact, I didn't get a fill until 6 months or so out and for the most part, when I ate right I felt no issues what so ever. I was usually concerned that I stretched my stomach or doing something wrong, but I lost about 40 or 50 pounds within the first few months. I usually feel hungry 3 or 4 hours after I eat, which is about normal. I eat abour 4 or 5 times a day now and I am almost a year out. The smaller amount of food you eat the quicker it gets used and so you get hungry more often. Also, I don't know what part of the diet your on, but liquids go through quicker. I was hungry a lot when I was on liquids and if you are past that, make sure you are waiting an hour after you eat before you drink anything. I think they say 10 or 20 minutes before you eat too, but that rule I don't follow as well. Anyway, it has only been 18 days so your body needs to adjust, stick with it and don't give up. You can do it!

    7 Months Out - Can't lose weight!!

I went through a few months without losing anything, it was very frustrating. It started during the holidays and kind of stuck with me. I feel that most of that stall was because I was eating cakes and whatnot, but when I tried to cut back, I didn't really notice a difference. The nutritionist in my support group says that our bodies need to recover after losing so much weight, so perhaps your body is recovering at the moment. I went through a period of 6 months or so and probably lost 10-20 pounds, not very motivating. On the bright side, at least I didn't gain, which it doesn't sound like you are. Finallyncontrol does bring up a good point thugh, you should keep track of what you eat. I am very bad at writing down what I eat, but if I make an effort, I am at least paying attention to my habits. I had started snacking a lot between meals and that does not bode well. A lot of the times I eat something different from my family, but it is more because I don't want what they are having so I don't feel bad that I "can't" have something. Also, on your excercising, do you do the same routine over and over? I know they say that change is good. At the gym I used to go to they always had a flyer up saying to change your routine if you plateau. I am doing better now and losing around a pound a week or so and it is much harder than it was before, but I feel like I am back on track. All I can say is don't give up because after a 6 month period of doing horrible, I am finally losing again. Oh yeah, I also wanted to say that muscle weighs more than fat, so you should be keeping track of your inches too. Sometimes my weight doesn't really change, but my body fat percent has gone down and I lose inches. I think that is all the advice I can give, but I really want to reiterate DO NOT GIVE UP!!! you can do it!
