Hi everyone was sleeved March 14. Doing well still maintaining with a five pound weight fluctuation every now and again. Just wondering how everyone else is coming along, that was sleeved around the same time if you're still on the forums please respond.

I'm three years out and suffering the same faith although I eat very little when I do eat probably 2 ounces. But I'm hungry two the three hours later. For me it's been that way for about a year. I haven't gained any weight back just fluctuates between five pounds. You just have to watch what you eat and drink plenty of Water to help keep you full.

Don't worry it's normal in the beginning to gain then loss then gain. As long as it's not a steady gain and no losing you're ok.

I am 3 and a half weeks out and feel nauseous and nothing sits well in my stomach. I am weak and just plain don't feel good. I feel I may be regretting my decision. I can't imagine living like this.
It will get better I'm three years out no pains or nausea. In a month you'll be reaping the benefits of your sleeve just hang in there.

I just scheduled lap band surgery for June 30th with Dr. Almanza, now that its scheduled, feeling pretty nervous.
Why would you ever elect to get the band? You'll be having a revision in a few years after it erodes in your esophagus.

nicesmile28 am I reading you tracker correctly you're trying to get to 95lbs?

I figured I would start a new thread to give updates on how surgery went for me and my progress. I had a lower body lift' date=' small inner thigh lift, outer thigh liposuction, breast lift an augmentation. I traveled alone to Mexico for these procedures to see dr. Sauceda.I'm going to post some before and after pics, I know that when I was researching that I wanted to know what to expect, what I would need and really what to do. I'm open to answering any questions:)
This is by before and day 6 post op.
This was by night before and day 4 post op.
2hrs out of surgery.
Drains and incisions day of surgery
A drain in each thigh and then three in the pubic area.[/quote']

I've been able to maintain between 134 to 139 for 1.5 years. I do have a lot of sagging skin on my inner thighs afraid to wear really short' date=' shorts or a bathing suit because its visible. Received a quote for plastics in Mexico for a thigh lift for 2500 not a bad price. Anyone suffering from this and what's working for you?[/quote']

Why after 10 months I am still constantly belching? It has become so normal I don't even realize I am doing it. Last night in bed my husband said' date=' " I could not stand to belch like that all the time!". So he was saying I am sick of listening to this. What am I doing to cause this? I even belch after I drink.[/quote']I'm two and a half years out and still belch terribly after really cold carbonated drinks. Therefore i try to stay clear. But i dint belch if they are luke warm go figure. And if i eat and drink soda i get really bad indigestion to the point of nearly throwing up.

Couldn't believe how much this surgery cost when I saw the amount billed to my insurance plan! (Luckily my insurance should cover all of that) Wondered what others have paid...4500 with Dr. Almanza 25000 that's outrageous ill would have stayed a fat person if faced with that choice. They is a doctor in San Antonio that only charges 10k

Let me just open by saying' date=' yes I effed up BIG TIME !! I have been on mostly liquids since surgery Tues May 14, even though my doctor approved me for soft/mushy foods. So at around 4am EST I had an intense food craving, and i new I wanted meat (I"m guessing my body was craving Protein, but I had already had around 60g of Protein via shakes/Pro-Stat). So asked my husband to cook up a hot dog on the stove, which he reluctantly did. We ground it up with a knife (not pureed, mistake #2) and I began to nibble on it. To my astonishment I ate the entire thing, rather quickly!! The first thing I've finished since before surgery, I don't even get through a cup of Water in one sitting. I know I was eating from my head, not stomach.Ever since, I've felt terrible!! First it felt as if the hot dog was just sort of sitting there between my esophagus and stomach. I've had incessant painful gurgling ever since. I tried drinking some Water, without waiting the 30 mins, becuase it was my goal to wash it down and out of my system. Not much reliefe at all. I tried laying down, but at around 8:45am the discomfort and pain was unbearable. I wanted to vomit but my body didn't let me. I would get passing feelings of nausea, even down to the over-salivating, but still nothing. I contemplated sticking my finger in my throught (panic makes you think crazy things), but I didn't. I had a sort of pain in my chest, as if someone had been sitting on it. But now that pain has become more of a heartburn like feeling. I tried taking gas-x a few hours ago, then a Pepcide later on, and most recently a Calcium carbonate antacid, just before writing this. I only feel slightly relieved, very slightly. I also have slight stomach cramps (I'm sure this is from the combination of hot dog and all these funky drugs now in my tummy).
I feel awful and terribly nervous that i've destroyed my sleeve. I realize this may be a bit irrational, probably post-sleever's guilt, but still. I wil never EVER cheat again. Can someone just share if they've had a similar experience? Am I in real trouble? Will this discomfort pass on its own, or is there something I can take? Any advice (even verbal kicks in the butt) are all welcome, I just want to feel better and stay on the straight and narrow from here on out. Please help. Thanks so much for reading![/quote']
You need to pace yourself if you continue to eat solid food so soon out trust me you will regret it every time. I tried a bite of pizza three weeks out i thought my stomach was going to explode. It wasn't until two months out that i was able to tolerate solid foods and very little of that. I would eat chilli from wendys.

Four years out and struggling
in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story

I had the gastric sleeve done March 2011 and had great success with it. But for the past five months I've put on about 12 pounds. I have increased my work out routine and changed my eating habits. I previously had no trouble maintaining now it appears as though I cant even lose five pounds. I would always go up and down between 1-5lbs and have never been at a rate that I am now. I blame it on my eating habits. I'm constantly snacking and seems as though I'm always hungry so I'm stuffing my face every two hours. I still can't eat much. Don't know what my caloric intake is never really measured it.
I need help what would other veterans do?
