Hello Jenn, my fellow sister bandster. I am also set to be banded on May 23rd and I am sooo ready. Also gagging through the pre-op diet. I've slipped a bit but managing to lose 5 lbs in 4 days so It's all good. And when i say slip i meann just minor things. Remember what caused u to look this route in the first place. And stay focused on it. I'm 29 years old and the only regret i have is not doing the surgery sooner. I've wasted so much time where I could really be LIVING! sigh, but at least I'm on it now. One last hurdle on Wed gotta get a stress test done, but hopefully I will ace it! Good luck to you on your surgery .. please PM and we can compare notes.

I'm stressing about this also. Was squeezed in for a stress test on this coming wed morning but my surgery is the following Monday! I hope this also doesn't push my date back. Sighhh... just when I retired my sneakers cuz I thought the hurdle jumping was done!

Yes I did all that, but my pcp set me up for a stress test. Wonder why. I also don't have any pre existing conditions or illnesses so I don't know what to make of it. But he said dont worry. I trust him.

Hey Lee, noticed you are from.NY too! Whos your surgeon and where are u being banded if u don't mind? I'm pre op.myself, surgery 5/23 at Monte with Dr Choi.

Oh and my bmi is 50.

I def think you are getting soaked! Wow im on a pre op of 2 shakes a day and a.small sensible meal at dinner. For 12 days only.

I have been telling people im going to have fibroids removed. Co workers at work I mean.

Queenie, I gained 20lbs since I started this journey in Jan, but as long as I dont gain while on my liquid diet then im good. It happens sometimes.

My surgery date is May 23rd!! yay!! I soooo wanted to be a May bandster!!! I am currently on the liquid diet. my surgeon wants me to start out 1 protein shake in the am two sensible meals, then up it to two shakes a day and 1 sensible meal with 2 fruit snacks. not tooooo bad. lol but I'm sooo excited. Good luck everyone!

PeaceQueen: You are definitely NOT alone. I myself an going through the whole process and that definitely caused me to gain weight! went for my first appt with surgeon in jan, i was 319, I work nights and do a lot of eating at night right before bed. Get in at 2 or 3 am and eat dinner and I'd go right to bed. But I learned all of this was also my frustration at this whole process taking so long, I weighed my own pros and cons about this surgery and did plenty of research before i went to my first seminar. When I make up my mind about something then i'm gung ho and ready. So the fact that some dr's had month long waits?! Drove me to stress about the whole process. Also, my reasons for deciding for the surgery was because I hadn't been feeling well for about 3 months or so. Just always hurting, and sleeping. Get up after 9 hrs of sleep and still felt run down. Thought my weight had finally caught up with me. But during this whole process I learned the reason why, my Vit D and B12 count was severely low. Went to my doc and got some shots (hey that rhymes!) and some meds and just this month I began to feel myself again. look at the scale and it says 325. :-O and i'm finally done my hoops. time for a 2nd appt. with my surgeon on Thurs and I'm TERRIFIED! I don't know what she's going to say or do. Pray for me y'all! lol But again peacequeen, you're definitely not alone and my thoughts are with you. 1 step at a time.
