  1. I was banded also on the 12th. Things are moving right along. Still am gassy, can feel it all over and my belly is constantly rolling, but I just keep walking. I guess eventually it will become absorbed or get passed. I am on clean liquids for a week, then a week on full liquids then I move to pureed. Drinking a cup of coffee this mornin tastes so good. Raining outside today so I guess I will walk laps around the inside of the house. Not really much actual pain, but more soreness. C-sectin, appendeatomy, and gall bladder removal were way more painful than this. good luck to everyone.
  2. Here I am. Staying up til midnight to squeeze in that last drink of water before heading to bed. So ready for tomorrow. I feel peaceful about it all, not what I felt a week ago. So many questions, but now I have peace that everything is going to be just fine. Looking forward to finding the old me I know that's inside this fat shell. Can't wait to do things with my kids I wasn't able to do last summer. My doctor is great. Been on protein shakes since January and have lost 66lbs pre-op. Hopefully that will help the dr out tomorrow when he is doing my surgery. Well, gotta go. Will check in soon!!
  3. Wow!! So many wonderful, true and inspiring things you guys poted. I am so glad I put that post up yesterday. All those things you guys have said to yourself, I have said to myself. Today, I have felt such a peace about all this. I go tomorrow for pre-op sutff at the hospital. I am looking forward to it. Only two more days to liquid diet. I get banded on next Tuesday, the 12th. I definitely know for absolute sure that I am ready to start my new life. Some of your replies were so inspiring. They made me cry. Thanks so much for the honesty and support.
  4. Here I am less than a week away from being banded. Something I have worked really hard to get to. So, why am I second guessing this decision I thought I had already made. I am so confused right now. No one that understand to talk to about it. Is this normal to have second thought at the last minuite? What about all the "what if's?" Any advice is very much welcome. Are all these thoughts normal?
  5. Okay...I'm drinking my protein shakes for my pre-op diet. Trying to get my bmi down a bit before surgery. I am drinking the EAS advantage protein shake which are 19-20 grams protein and about the same on carbs. Is the carb count too high or should I look for something else?? Just wondering. i'm doing liquid only diet. Thanks!!
