  1. pzeadow - so true! I have slowed down my eating but have to slow it down even more. I had a major sticking episode this week. I have more of them since my last fill which brought me up to 5 CC's. I am not counting between bites and slowing down as much as possible. Good luck all! Happy Easter! Cheers, Kristi
  2. Hi Feb Banders! How is everyone doing? I have been sick so I couldn't work out last week. That is the key for me to get the scale moving! Cardio & weights! I still have to slow down when eating. I have been venturing out and have been stuck. Last night 2 bites and worst sticking episode and got sick for the first time. Still learning! Have a great Easter all! Cheers, Kristi

    Stuck?

Papaya works great. I can eat hamburger more than chicken. You need to ear really slowly or add sauce... to moisten. I tend to eat to quickly. It takes me 45-60 mins to eat a chicken breast. Good luck!
  4. Wow - major sticking episode! Chicken - puree only from now on!

Hi beautiful banders! Wow, the week flew buy as did the weekend. I still have my cold and managed to get the flu as well. I didn’t lose anything this week as I was just trying to stay above Water. I had no energy and was hacking up a lung and blowing my brains out. My asthmas has been bad as well. I hope to get some normality this week. Praying for a slow week with the upcoming long weekend! Linda – I am so sorry of your loss! Sorry to hear that others have been sick too! Let’s hope we all get better soon! The weather has been really cold here. Spring is supposed to be here but I still am wearing a heavier coat. Will it be deck weather soon? Everyone have a good week! Cheers, Kristi

Happy Sunday beautiful banders! I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! Finished the repairs to the fence yesterday. Hubby & I had plans to paint but have decided that we will hire a painter. As it most likely can be sprayed. Yippee! Last night we went with friends to see George Lopez. Some great laughs! Friday went to the Coach store. The purse I saw in January isn’t the current stock. I didn’t see anything I liked. Really not a Coach person. Not enough bling or pockets for stuff. Found a nice gold straw purse with a big bow for $50 – score! Got my exercise walking the mall. Ended with a nice pedicure for my horrible feet. Now purple toes! I have to work a bit today as I have to scam my work into 3 days as I am attending a HR conference Thur/Fri. Not to mention fit in the dentist as I had an emergency – my overlay has come out. Temporary repair and $1000 with insurance paying for half. CPAP machine that I hate so much. Thought it was $700 and the guy wanted my Visa as I have had it since Sept and $2,400. Not sure how much will be covered by insurance. So far it has been an expensive year! Our townhouse needs a new roof this summer. Tax time... It goes on and one. Hmmm maybe I won the lottery last night? Off to work I go J. Ø Jewel – 85 hours a week is a killer! It isn’t worth it. Is he being paid overtime? PMS – get me every time. I have the new Minerva IUD – it helps with my PMS and pre-menopause as I am 44 and starting to have issues since I have been off the pill since I was 40. Ø Cheri – Short are overrated. I love capri’s. You look amazing! I took get hot with the spanks. I like the suck in tank tops for the winter. I have a hate for bras I am a 44DD and hate them! When I reach my goal weight I will bet a breast reduction & lift as medical will pay because of my back problems. Have fun with the grand kids! Ø IndioGirl55 – massages are king! Ø Lori – hope all goes well with your upcoming crop! Ø Julie – I know you can do it! Don’t be so hard on yourself! I agree with what Jewel said. The band is only a tool. My hubby is on the same plan as me without the band and too has lost weight almost pound for pound. He is down 27 lbs. And he still eats chips as a treat L. Ø Charlene – I too love my eggs! I mix in blue cheese dressing and salsa with mine Ø Eva – I love threading! It lasts forever and is only $7 for my brown & upper lip. The East Indians have walk in spa’s here. Not sure if you have that in your area. In Vancouver we have a huge multi-culture. I also get my facials and the Indian spa. Can’t beat the price. Nothing fancy but works! Today is raining. Maybe I will hit the club for a swim, movie and big nap after I catch up with work and chores. Have a great day! Kristi xxoo

Hi Beautiful banders! Eva – sounds like you accomplished a lot. Mental health days are importantJ. Thanks for the heads up about Dr Oz – I watched it. Yah I look like a pig compared to what that one girl eats! IndioGirl – Good job on the workouts! Tomorrow is my heavy weight day J. Get my muscles after post-op, man I have been sore. I am hoping to work only for the morning. Big plans for your day off? I can’t wait until Friday. Laura – so sorry to hear about your dad. Nice for you to give your mom a break. I am sure both your parents enjoyed seeing you & spending time with you. Angie – I can’t speak to the sleeve. But do you keep a food diary? That keeps me on course. Then I can choose my treats accordingly. My treat is my chocolate – sugar/fat free pudding with Protein mixed in, I also like Weight Watchers – Granola crunches with chocolate or Aitkin’s Peanut Butter cups. Julie – there have been great benefits to our medical system. It still costs us $45/month/person or $100/family for basic medical. Then we have extended health through my husband work to cover drugs, dental, pysio... With all the baby boomers things will have to change as the wait times for surgeries are 2-5 years for some procedures. Meredith – have a great vacation! Lori – sorry about the passing of your uncle. Sorry to hear about your esophogitis. What is the cure? Best of luck with all – big hugs! I had a busy day and had to have a nap after work as I was non-functioning. I am already looking forward to the weekend! Down another half a pound on the scale & hit my goal to get under 230lbs (229.6 lbs). Another pair of pants today too big and passed on. Feeling good & focused. Have a great rest of the week all! Big hugs to all! Cheers, Kristi Hi Beautiful banders! Eva – sounds like you accomplished a lot. Mental health days are importantJ. Hi Beautiful Banders, Linda – so sorry to hear that your bro isn’t doing well. I hope for a positive outcome and send positive vibes and prayers! Sndycnrd – sounds like you had a god weekend! Hop looks really cute. Good job on winning the prizes too! Jodi – Phyl sounds like a true gentleman. I am really happy for you! Janet – here in Canada we have a great medical system but because it is free the waits can be years. So many times I have had to go self pay as my life is too precious to wait 2-5 years. With everyone retiring it will only get worse. Cheri – Good work on the spring cleaning! My DH gets his new ipad in 2 wks as we are a later for a release here in Canada. I didn’t see your post too about the text codes. I loved it. I posted too as I don’t always see the posts in the thread. Julie – glad you are feeling better! I was up to early again & had another big nap today. Love those naps J. Cooked a yummy dinner parmesan/tomatoe chicken breasts and roast potatoes. I have a busy week ahead with work but some fun planned too. I am also attending Cavalia on Thursday night with my step-mom & Saturday night George Lopez with DH & friends. Everyone have a great week! Hugs, Kristi
