    How Do I Get Over A Plateau?

    Plateau is my middle name these days as I work on my last 20-30 lbs. It is up/down then after 5 days down. I had slowed down from a 2 lbs/wk to only .5/week. Best advice is stay on course and it will come. Try and mix it up. Try to keep variety with your workouts and food. I also go for mini fill just to see if that can break the cycle too. 2 weeks ago I had a small fill of .2cc's. I saw a lose of 2 lbs right away. Then down another 1 lb last week and then another 2 lbs lost to gain the same 2 back the next day. Since then plateau city. I have increased my Protein even though I have always eaten a lot and increased my workouts to pilates 2x/wk for 1 hour and cardio sessions of 1hr - 5-6x/week. Good luck!
  3. Very happy to give up my sleep apena mouth guard since I have better stats now. Follow up with a overnight sleep study in 3 months once I have hit goal weight.

  7. I find i get head hunger a lot. Sometimes it is because i need to drink more water. I am tight and still get the feeling of being hungry i just work through it and it goes away. You may need another fill too. That is the reason the band is 11cc's. My bff has about 9.25 cc's in her band as i am 6.5. Everyone is different. I also strive to eat 80-90g of protein a day. If i am hungry sometimes i will have 1/4 of a protein shake. Don't lose faith, just neecnto work on getting the band to help you.
  8. I am 30 lbs approx from goal. I am eating around 1100-1200 cals I have 2 shakes a day to hit my Protein Love Oh Yeah Protein Bars Try and eat egg, cheese & meat daily 1/2 c chicken Cheese Beef Jerky Lots of spinach Veggie protein balls or bites Exercise: Pilates reformer classes 2x /week Cardio 4-5 days / week on my eliptical Walking whenever i can Strength training 2-3 days per a week for 15 mins Soon it will be golf & season!
  9. Happy to report weighed in today with a 3.4llbs lose. BMI not 27. About 12 lbs to a normal BMI. Yipee!

    Confused?

    It is a personal choice. I do next nothing in carbs and high protein. You might want to try "south beach diet" i know lots of people who do WW. I get to stuck on carbs as i have a tight band. It may just to log your cals as you want to focus on protein amounts & cals. Good luck!

  15. Today I am going to be thankful for the incrediable results I have made, joy & beauty I now feel! Rather than be focused on my next pound as it is an obession & I will complete and reach my goal in due time!

  17. Yes, I am a scale addict! I weigh in the morning as soon as I get up. weighing at night what is the point? I keep thinking if I buy a better scale it will treat me better . Good luck all! Cheers, Kristi

    My dr let me scrub them off at the 2 wk mark. I ended letting them come of naturally. Theyjust started to lift.

  21. B52 - sounds like you are on the right track and might need a slight unfill so that you can not lose more weight. Or try a high cal protein powder. Good luck & congrats as you have done well!
  22. I would maybe up your protein as your snacks don't have much protein. I tend to eat 60-90g's of protein a day. I am on a high protein diet and work out 4-5 days/week for 40 mins 3 x wk & 1.5 2x/wk. Better to have a slow and steady loss. Don't get frustrated keep on going, keep up the great work! K

    Are You Making Good Food Choices?

    Lucky I am so tight I can't eat bread, fries or too many chips. I can eat choclate and do for a treat but I never eat anything over 200 cals. Snacks are usually 80 cals. I have found new loves and cravings. I am far perfect but want to reach goal. I am self pay so I have to protect my investment. I track my calories when I reach a plateau. I also exercise 4-5 days/wk. Also I regularly go back to the basics and read the material from the clinic about food choices, menus & suggestions. I lost most of my weight eating 1400-1600 cals. now I am 1000-1200 cals because I have plateaued. Good luck! Tomorrow is a new day!

    Salad

    Salad is also concidered a slider food. Eat protein first so you feel full.
  25. Cazzy - I too have asthma & allergies. I was a swimmer for years and my doctor says it makes no difference. I thought too my asthma etc... Swimming and exercise helps my asthma though . K
