6 months post op this was best decision I ever made starting weight was 233lbs and today I weight 165 lbs picture on left was taken 2 weeks after surgery and one on right was 2 weeks ago . 25lbs to go till I reach my goal.

I don't have much to show yet (as I am only 2 months Post-Op), but wanted to share a Before and After picture so far.



Picture on the left is me at 356 on October 24, 2015 (1 month BEFORE surgery).

Picture on the right is me down 40 pounds at 316 on Christmas Day 2015 (1 month AFTER surgery).

I finally hit Twonderland. Now at 299.6. I hope and pray I never see the 300's again.

My current weight as of 2/1/2016 is 224 pds. I now weigh one pound less than what is on my Drivers License. Wahoo!

I am down to 296.0 which is exactly 60 pounds lost since surgery on November 20th.

My revision was done on 11/16 and today 2/1/16 I am down 45lbs and doing great. Started at 233 goal is 140 half way there!!

First of all. 33lbs in 7 weeks is NOT slow!
I lost faster with the band but I was 8 years younger and had no kids - no kid food around etc. I also exercised more.
My nutritionist said that we do lose a bit slower. I think a lot of it is that we get used to restriction and (eating around) restriction. My nutritionist said also that our bodies have adapted to extreme deprivation of calories (like 600). That said, I have lost about 56lbs now at 6 months and that puts me 1/2 way to goal. We can't go back in time. A fast weight loss means absolutely nothing in the long term - those of you who lost and maintained with the band should understand that. I think we should also be wary of eating to capacity. I have a theory that those with the band long term became accustomed to the "full esophagus" feeling, that lump in your throat when you have eaten too much.

You got that right!! I HATE the tape they use!! Rips my hair and skin off. grrrr.

That is awesome I also have some jeans I could not wear that finally fit my surgery was 11/16 and I am down 30lbs have not been able to walk as much as I like had a spell with my foot and found out I have a stress fracture so a minor set back glad you are doing well keep it up we can do this!!!

One thing I love to do is go to candlelight church service on Christmas Eve; however, I haven't had a pair of pants that fit me in over a year. I have been too proud to buy bigger (actually much bigger) pants, so I thought I would just wait it out until I lost enough weight to fit into my smaller pants.

Well, I didn't think it would happen this fast, but now only 4 weeks post-op I am again able to fit into my pants which were 8 sizes too small just 4 weeks ago!!!!

YAY!!! I am so happy!!!

Thanks! I'm so nervous about losing my hair too! I have my Vitamins ready to go!

Just wanted to share that today was my big day! It took 3 hours to cut through all the scar tissue. I'm pretty sore and resting!

Catlynk- I have lost 66 pounds in under 6 months. December 23 would technically be 6 mos.

I'm so happy I have the sleeve and the band gone. I've lost 82lbs in under 6 months.

Pure misery.They should ban the procedure.

I HATE my Lapband. I'd join that lawsuit for sure.
