  1. I am at a good point on my band. Restriction wise. I just manage to get around it. I KNOW my eating has been a factor. I am looking for the help and encouragement to go back to step one if need be and continue that faze. Guidelines are a plus for me. Eat this and only this and in this amount, etc. Then I know the band will get me back. As far as the hitting the wall part, I don't know and neither does the Dr. know why I hit it and how to fix it. Even did a food/drink journal and all was in line there. Maybe this time I can get past it.

Thanks! And congrats on your success! I too will get there!

  2. Help! I am failing! I have now gained almost all my weight back, and can not afford nor do I have the insurance for fills. Is there anyone who can help me?

I lost almost 30#'s and then hit a wall and it didn't seem to matter what I did, I could not loose anymore. My husband then took a different job back in our home state and we moved. That has been a year and a half. We moved into our daughters for a good 9 months and have since moved out on our own. I understand the stress of all this did not help, nor did her cooking!

I need to get a "restart".

    Again I say HELP!!!

    Thank you in advance.

  3. I've had 4 fills' date=' and the last one needed a little unfilling since I couldn't keep Water down. I can't eat bread or Pasta anymore which is fine if I were seeing results. I've been banded 6 months now, and haven't lost any weight. It's hard not to compare yourself to others, when it seems like everyone else loses weight.[/quote']

I had surgery in jan. 2011. At first I lost about 20 lbs and then even with fills, I didn't lose. I had the usual tests done at a year to see if i was getting what I needed nutrition wise. My hormones were off a little, so I was put on meds. For that. Everything seems to be fine now, except I have not lost, in fact I have gained. I have 11 cc band and I am at 8 with some restriction. I know my problem is portion size and waiting til I'm hungry to eat. Think about these things and be honest with yourself. If you are doing exactly what you are supposed to do, check the types of food you are eating, then, see your dr. I have to kick myself and get back on the wagon myself!

  4. I was banded 1/13. Between my consult in Aug. and now I have lost 15 lbs. I have been stuck on not losing for a while now. Between my post-op and Feb. 28, I lost a lb. I was given 6 cc on my first fill Feb. 28. (standard at my Dr.) I do have restriction, but still am not losing. I'm super frustrated. Have trouble getting my calories in AND I am exercising 5 days a week, bike, treadmill and elliptical. I don't know what else to do. I did "pig-out" one day and lost 4 oz. ! Even with my "pig-out", I didn't eat nearly enough calories. I am averaging around 550-600 calories. I know that's not healthy. My start weight was 199, so I know it will come off slower then those who have more to lose, but I sure would be happy if I would lose a lb. a week!

    Any ideas or suggestions?
