  1. Happy -- Birthday twinstar!

  2. Happy -- Birthday twinstar!

  3. Apparently, they have had a lot of people come in with complaints about it and seeing as that was the only thing I had had before I started having problems, it kind of narrowed it down. Lol!
  4. That's the truth. I was paranoid about it being a slip. I think they were also, seeing as I had been to see them since 2007. I feel good as new and everything looked great!
  5. Well, it turns out that if you drink half a gallon of lemonade during a horse show, it may upset the acid in your stomach causing the lining to get aggravated. Once the lining was aggravated, it just pretty much shut me down when it swelled under my band. Lol! They just took some of my fill out and turned me loose. Instant relief.
  6. I have been banded since 2004, operation done by Dr. Fromm in Dalton, GA by Weight Management. Dr. Fromm is one of the doctor's with Dr. Jaime Ponce. All was well & dandy until Saturday. On Saturday I seemed to notice that band was feeling tighter than normal, & seemed to be causing some slight pains. Saturday night, I was experiencing night cough, didn't sleep a wink. Pain still there, slight pb'ing (mostly saliva or whatever I drink) to just downright throwing up as I can't eat a thing, lots of bloating & burping that I normally do not have. I haven't had a fill in years. What in the world is going on with this thing? Any ideas? I will be calling weight management this am to make an appt. to see exactly was is going on. Back history: Biggest weight was 331. I am now down to 208.Goal weight on 180. Had my gallbladder removed a few years ago. No other issues, except I have no thyroid. It just quit a few years & needs to be removed.
  7. Getting there! Only 28 lbs. to my goal weight! Yay!

Yes. I don't have any of the fitness games bc I just can't seem to have fun with them. I know the dance game we have is hilarious but tough. It will wear out. You get so dead set on beating a song that you just keep doing it & end up worn out. I am going to get Zumba next but will wait for it on the pre-owned game shelf at GameStop. If you get any of the games, I highly suggest reading the customer reviews on them on Amazon. It may save you some money. ETA: The dance game we have is Dance Central.
  9. I am not totally done yet, or at least I hope I am not done. I still have about 40 lbs left to lose. I go in for brachioplasty in February. I started out at 331 and am now down to 220.

Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

I am so happy for everyone here! The amount of weight lost has been amazing. I have lost 112 lbs with another 40 to go.

We have Dance Masters, maybe Dance Central. It isn't the one that does the freestyle dance but the one that breaks down the moves. We love it! It will kill you! Lol!

    Excess mucus/sliming

I have this also but I have found instead of purging it, just wait it out. It hurts like hell but you can feel it move. It seems to be much better for me if I let it pass after I take a bite or drink of something. If I purge it, it just seems to make things worse.
  13. Absolutely! If you ever need anything or have questions, please let me know! I will you out the best I can!

    Lap-Band Failure Rates

I was banded in 2003 (I think?, so much has happened since then that I can't remember the date for certain). I love my band, and haven't had any problems with it yet. My surgery was performed by Dr. Fromm @ Hamilton Weight Management. Now, I am by no means the perfect lapband person but I am still losing weight and even when I plateau, it usually stays within a pound or two. I hate hearing about all these things going on with the bands right now. I still have about 40 lbs left to go to be at my goal weight but I am trying to get there. I am new to the forum so reading all of this is making me pretty paranoid as mine was a self pay also. Craptastic BCBS wouldn't cover it. ETA: I was banded in March of 2004. I had to go back and recheck. Couldn't remember to save my life.
