  4. hi everyone, this is my first post i am finishing the first week of my pre op diet and am scheduled for surgery 1/24 i have a few questions i was hoping some people could help me out with, first of all, after 6 days with no cheating except not measuring exactly 2 cups of veggies, i had a salad for lunch and veggie soup for supper, but otherwise only 3 shakes and 1 meal replacement bar, and i only lost 4 lbs., i thought people lose like 10 lbs. in a week, it's very frustrating to me. also, i was wondering what people switch metformin to, i am taking the long acting so i can't crush it, do people just switch to the regular and crush it or take the liquid?
