  1. is off to Scienceworks with family today. Should be loads of fun, I have a feeling Xander is gonna LOVE IT!

  2. had a great Australia Day with her family. So glad brother in law and his wife could go with us. <3 family

  3. loves being in Australia. A beautiful country with beautiful people.I still sometimes miss my old home, but my new home is where my heart is. <3 Happy Australia day everyone!!! Advance Australia Fair...

  4. didn't enjoy today as much as she hoped she would. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow.

  5. is really sad. Jaffa is not adjusting as well as I hoped. She snapped at Zak today. I feel like I just can't take the risk, but also feel bad that she hasn't really been given a chance. She's such a sweet dog... it was out of the blue. :(

  6. has a new four-legged family member. Jaffa!

  7. took Xander and Zakkie to Werribee pool today. We had a blast! Can't believe we haven't been there before. Zak is a little fish! We're gonna have to go every week now! :)

  8. is really, really tired of teenage antics. I've decided there is no point in being worried, hurt or turning my life upside down. If a teenager wants to make choices that will ruin their lives, and will not listen to advice, I guess there is nothing else to be done.

  9. had a semi-hectic day. Glad to be home now.

  10. wants today to be over already...

  11. is taking it easy. Haven't felt well today and I realised that the dishes and laundry will still be waiting for me when I feel up to it!

  12. is gonna have a Sunday afternoon nap... YAY!

Hi Catblue, It really does get easier. I do still struggle, but slowly food becomes less important. It doesn't consume my thoughts anymore. Sometimes I will really get a craving or miss things, but 5 months out I can definitely say my outlook is different. I have messaged you! You can do it. It will be hard at first. You may be depressed, or frustrated but things will get easier and you will think about food less often and once you see some results, it will be a big boost. Stay in touch!
  14. It does get easier... I am 5 months post-op and I still struggle but not as much. The beginning is hard for everyone; if it wasn't hard we wouldn't need the band! Please don't get discouraged. Feel free to add me on Facebook, we have about the same amount of weight to lose. I am on everyday! I am a 35 year olf from Virginia but living in Australia now. Looking forward to hearing from you. :)

  15. can't wait until the kiddies are in bed. Time to relax. :)
