My band was a big waste of money for me as well! :-( So glad you were able to revise!!!

My situation is similar to yours as far as the current weight. My band never worked, but I did lose weight from just dieting. Now getting weight off and keeping it off is two completely different things! However statistically I think 95% of those that just diet and/or exercise fail to keep of a substantial amount of weight long term. So although I am a size 12 now I would gladly revise to VSG if I had the opportunity to (no insurance/insufficient cash). Good luck!

The grape IsoPure seemed to be the best tasting. The Alpine Punch was good also. Nectar protein can be mixed with water and used early out as well. I also used the unflavored Unjury and added it to broth in the early stages.

If that is all you want to have done now that is fine. However do keep in mind that many insurance companies are starting a "one WLS per lifetime" stipulation. If you insurance policy were to add that prior to you deciding that you do want VSG, or RNY or DS for that matter.......if will ne too late. You will have to pay cash. So this is something to definitely keep in mind shen considering to revise or not. Good luck!

I was noticing that OH is having a WLS conference in Atlanta in Oct. Are any of you planning on coming?

I'm a bandsters also. I have been researching revision for about a year now. I have noticed that most bandsters tend to revise to VSG. Also most do extremely well with the VSG when they revise! The only reason I haven't done it yet is b/c of finances. Good luck!

It's very frustrating! I hate trying on clothes. I want to pick a size and know that it fits.........unfortunately that is not the case, lol.

I have not revised yet, but the ones that I know that did not have a lot of damage from the band, and had a good Dr. recovered quickly. If you have a lot of internal damage that the band has caused that can definitly prolong the recovery process! :-(
