hmmmm I have done a few things . I was a Firefighter for a bit. Up until recently I was a Correctional Officer working in a prison. I resigned and moved to Florida a few weeks ago. Now am in the process of going over to Iraq as a firefighter contractor for a year. I just need to loose another 17 lbs to do that. So hoping to leave around December. Until then I am kicking back working out and getting myself in shape. :biggrin1:

Ok so am I the only one who has a hard time letting go of that old belt that you wore when you were at your largest? I mean I just love the fact that I have had to add like 8 holes in it to make it smaller. I don't know maybe its just like a trophy to me or something of that nature. My GF was telling me to buy a new one and I told her she was nuts lol. I guess she would never understand considering she is only 110 lbs lol. So am I the actual crazy person or are there more of us out there? :confused:

Congrats on your start to a healthier you ! Let me tell you it feels great ! You could definitely lose that much weight that fast. Trust me ..... just look down at my stats. I am down over 120 lbs since 4/27/07. But remember the band is a tool and you need to work that tool to make it move faster. Push for the fills when you feel you need them. Its your body and you know what you need. Exercise exercise exercise , I could not say that enough. You need to do as much as you can and the weight will fall off with the bands assistance. When I first started I could barely do a mile walking and now I do 5 miles a day at least 5-6 days week. Don't be afraid to ask any of us guys questions either. We are here for each other.

In 2000 I went from low 300's to around 230. Lets just say in 7 years I gained it all back and over 80 lbs more. Loosing is easy, its the keeping it off that sucks.:faint:

I keep mine from my initial consult with the doc. I lost about 17 with liquid diet. Like stated, I wouldn't have lost that if I wasn't going to get banded.

I would only reiterate what LapBandit has stated. I myself was banded just this past 5/9. I have lost over 100lbs but have even plateaued for a week here and there. Just give yourself a little change up with calories and exercise and it usually breaks it. Good luck and stay positive !!
