I have told everyone.....the support has been wonderful. Im so excited and I want everyone to know. My inlaws are weird but Im not concerned about them...LOL....My mother was banded 2 yrs ago. My neighbor was banded 1 month ago. So I have a lot of support. Makes it easier for me. I am here and I can be part of your support. Feel free to private maessage me. Jessica

Well that is great we are banded together...LOL If u are on facebook friend me and we can comapre notes. my nae is Jessica Walker Alexander I started my 6 month process in may and wasnt really trying. Apparently not at all. I gained 6 lbs. I was devestated. I was at my max of 339. That was my "AWHA" moment. From there on in I changed everything. They way I eat, what I eat, when I eat, and how much I eat. I was to have my surgery after Thanksgiving but found out I had a fractured spleen. So I was delayed till 1-11-11. When I started my preop I had lost 40 lbs. then I lost 9 lbs during 2 week preop and 2 post op. (how did you get that all at the bottom of your stuff. I know how to do the tracker but not the other info) Anyways, Keep hanging in there. This time will go fast. I hope. LOL Hope to hear from u soon!

Hello all, I was banded on Tuesday Jan 11, 2011. I am doing wonderful. I have not been hungry since my surgery. However, I am eating to get my protien. Well liquids atleast. My concern is that my stomach is growling all the time. Is this normal. Is this part of the air they filled me up with. I am not hungry but it just growls all the time. I was hoping ofr anyone that has gone through this to give me their insite. I see the doc on Monday. I havent taken any pain pills because I have had no pain. Just discomfort sleeping. And of course bending over and what not. But NO pain. Thanks for giving me feedback. Jessica

My insurance approved me to stay 3 nights if I need to. My doc has his patients stay overnight and get xrays before u leave the next day. Im glad to be staying. Im getting banded on 1-11-11....less than 2 days....woooohooooooo!

Im getting banded on 1-11-11 also.....in southwestern pa....LOL...thought it was funny. See if there is somewhere u can stay close to the hospital. Or make sure whoever is taking u home has 4wheel drive. I know how it is in the snow. Good luck!

I should be starting my period any day now....and I am having my surgery on Tuesday. Thought about that too. However, I am sure we are not the first to have it during surgery. I think that it is my luck that it will be...O well im sure they have seen and dealt with worse. Good Luck!!!!

I wish...with this IC....I cant have aspartame....Crystal Light causes me soooooo much pain. Ive come to the conclusion its gonna be Water and ff milk. Thats about it. Homemade ice tea made with Splenda. The sugar free Jello has it in it but I am hoping that with just a little it wont hurt too bad. Thanks for the ideas.

Well not many more days to go on our Journey. However, this is just the beginning of our journey. I am starving. I am on a 14 day preop diet. 2 Carnation sugar free b-fast shake and 1 300-400 meal for dinner. I am to my wits end. I am so hungry. I have less than 3 1/2 days left. I know I can do it however, I just want to cheat. I made sugar free jello to try to help. We will see. I was told to only have fresh fruits and veggies. This is great but I have IC. A condition with my bladder so I am only able to have pears ($2 a lb), watermelon (not in season), honeydew (also not in season), and blueberries I don't like). So I am out of ideas to help with my sweet tooth. Anyways, just wanted to get some feedback of those sharing this amazing day with me 1-11-11. And those who are going to have their own amazing days. It seems that the fda panel has lowered the bmi needed. However, it has to be put in place by the fda. Keep your eyes open..Also usually with a BMI of 35-40 there is something that usually is there. Sleep apnea....high blood pressure.... something. I pray things go well for her.

My doc use to charge a $200 fee. When the got the Center of Excellence they dropped it. I am so excited because I dont have extra money. I think $600 is waaaay tooo much. Id look around to a different doc. Hope things work out.

Scuffy... I have been trying to get LapBand for almost 5 yrs. Ive been delayed for many reasons. Insurance coverage, type of insurance needing the facility to be a center of excellence, needed my tonsils out, oh yeah found out I was 6 months pregnant...I could keep going...Finally in May I started my 6 month process. Only to get delayed again in November for a fractured spleen. Have no clue how that happend. Anyways, just trying to tell you that things happen for a reason. You got this way for a reason (as I have also) and now something has told you that you need the change. I started my process in May. I was 333. Devestated. Then I go for my 2nd check the next month and i GAINED 6 lbs. I cried....and cried,,,and cried. That was my "AHHAA" moment. My changing moment. I have changed everything from that day on. Now Jan 2011 and I have lost 45lbs during this process. U have to be ready....inside and out....u can do it... It seems like a long process but it goes quick..Now in 6 days I willhave that wonderful tool to help me continue. I pray your process goes well... Anything I can do let me know...
